I first started being a fan of football and the Redskins when Don Warren started playing for them in 1978. It was right when Jack Pardee started coaching for the Skins.
Great interview. Don was there for the golden years of our franchise.
Although I was just a wee buck I remember Vince Lombardi coaching us. I remember Larry Brown hurdling a whole crowd of linemen. I remember Pat Fisher laying out Larry Csonka, the 73 Super Bowl, the “Over The Hill Gang”. The list goes on… I haven’t felt this nostalgic in a long time. I just wish the kids today could know 1/5th of the pride I felt for “My Team”.
Now… just mostly anger. But hey! I’m still here.
