Ginger needs a girlfriend. Ginger….go outside for a walk!!!
Bet this guy is a UT fan
Paying recruits isn't cheating. Even though the NCAA says you can't pay recruits until they sign, the supreme court essentially made it impossible for them to enforce that rule. If the NCAA tried to to enforce that rule that would get lawsuits up the wazoo
On NIL you think the school president would say hold on this could bite is some day
Miami has a pretty good basketball program… yeah. It's solid.
How dumb to you have to be to have all these violations and still suck?
Your crazy to think that this isn’t being done by everyone for years now. NCAA starts throwing violations around then you’ll have the bigger schools breaking away even quicker. Be careful what you ask for.
Texas A$M did what they are allowed to do. If we don’t want recruits to get payed get rid of the NIL. If I was Jimbo I would lean into it. I would tell recruits yeah our players get paid tons of cash. Yeah Texas A$M has big oil money and now it’s legal so bow down everyone else. I would completely brag about how much our players are making. ThTs what Sabin did. No one can compete with A$M money. So the rest of you jelly bastards can bend over and take it in the booty hole. As a matter of fact you complaining about A$M is just free recruiting and advertising for A$M. So thanks!
@Ginger you can’t prove Texas A$M was first. You can’t prove crap. Also when have you ever taken a job not knowing the income? I never have. It’s ridiculous to make college FB a job and pay kids. Then expect to not talk about. It’s not illegal to talk about a legal job. If we don’t want recruits to get paid the NIL should be taken away completely. So shit or get of the pot. Texas A$M WILL NOT BE PUNISHED. They did nothing wrong. Players are allowed to be paid.
A&M did not break any rules. 1 of the 11 freshman on campus have received an NIL deal, so obviously they did not pay every player. You're making things up and totally speculating and making it sound like it is factual. You've lost credibility and this viewer.
Nothing to see here. Just the corrupt biased NCAA acting like they're not biased towards the power conference members so they can throw Memphis under the bus. We all know how this works. It's a political joke.
Very happy that you have the guts to say all of this out loud…….
Lol haters gonna hate. No proof…
Those TE they got also. Wasn’t it like 3 top TE
You need help. You're the joke.
Liar
Depressed, Saban and others need to come to the realization that a program can use NIL effectively without committing recruiting violations. You think Fisher is an idiot?
You are insane if you think they will get a 5 year bowl ban.
Bowl ban coming. All them paid off recruits get to sit out next few years.
If you going to accuse teams of cheating you should have some proof. You mentioned a lot of teams yet didn’t provide any proof for any of those schools.
Looks like SMU was just ahead of their time, right Craig James? It was obvious to me that once NIL began, there would be no way to put the genie back in the bottle. As long as there's recruiting, there will be people that will break the rules. It's worth too much to too many nowadays. But the dirty secret is that the NCAA exists to investigate and punish some schools while the "cool schools" never feel the pinch. If you're Bama or Texas or Michigan or Notre Dame, you're too important to go on probation while the "bad boy" programs get called out over and over again. It's not a fair system.
The NCAA still hasn't punished KU basketball for its numerous Level I violations (even allowing them to participate in the post season this year with those violations hanging over the program). What makes anyone think that the NCAA is going to punish Tennessee, Texas A&M, or anyone else for their violations? Then again, these schools aren't bluebloods so maybe they will get punished by the NCAA.
NIL is a complete cluster F. Compensate players more but turning them into pro athletes is absolutely ridiculous. Seems that they should do all the teams doing this not just UT
“You think their basketball program is good”
They literally made the elite 8
Honestly dude, I absolutely despise your opinion on this. The NCAA already tried something like this a long time ago with a school called SMU and look what happened there…you just destroy a program and fanbase, meanwhile the other big boy programs just keep on going on cheating anyway.
Terrible, terrible….terrible take on this one. Almost shameful. I don't know why you want to single out and screw one school in particular ONLY. So sad. At the very least you should be asking for a ban or pause for all NIL grey areas for all schools…not just arbitrarily put the gun on one school just because they got the best recruits.
Your opinion on this is just…mean…
NCAA doesn’t have the power to enforce this stuff anymore. If they tried they would just get sued and since all the bud blood teams are doing it they would just ignore the ncaa essentially putting an end to them and then make their own rules. Unfortunately what needs to happen is some form of official regulation so all schools in conferences have the same clear guidelines but it’s hard since states differ. I mean look at Quin Ewers he reclassified because Texas gov doesn’t allow high schoolers to use NIL and he knew his worth and went to Ohio Staye before coming back to Texas. It’s kind of a shot show but I don’t expect it to change anytime soon.
Texas is another example of navigating the system. They set up programs like the “pancake factory” that guarantees all Oline commits 50,000 at least and it definitely helped thier class. But they set it up in such a way that it is technically in line with NCAA guidelines. If the NCAA tried to enforce this teams would just get lawyers to do similar things and take roundabout ways to basically offer the same deals
I would say give em the death penalty but… What is dead may never die! 😂
its so fresh to new young commenters working for ESPN
You’re really saying Oregon doesn’t have the brand or recruiting prowess to land a 5* qb? Oregons biggest donor can buy the entire SEC. If you think we are paying first put the pipe down. Oregon has the money to spend, we aren’t the issue. If we wanted to spend we’d outspend all other programs.
Before you create this type of content, you should really understand the modern laws!! This is borderline slander
