I think Big Ben could have been utilized more a lot how Terry Bradshaw was utilized towards the end of his career more of a pocket hit you with bombs from the pocket but the Steeler wanted to go in a different direction with his offensive philosophy I would have adjusted the offense to more of just vertical passing game with just a balanced balanced attack with an emphasis on balance between run and pass and the past being a vertical attack but they want to bring back Canada and all this doodah stuff
2021 was def a year too late for 7
Ben should be the back up quarterback and he could continue doing that till he was 45 but he must accept that it’s just the few games a year when the starter’s injured that he plays otherwise he’s the number two.
To damn late!!!!! Ben was done! Enjoy what he has done, but be real! This dude is delusional as hell about Ben. Everyone gets old, including Ben. His(Ben) ego has brain washed Deke!!!!
What a drama queen
What happened in 2017 when Ben had all that similar talent on offense and a younger arm? We had: TE: V. McDonald, RB: L. Bell, WRs: Brown, Bryant, Smith-Schuster, Rogers and others. We had a defense that had 56 sacks. Was Ben holding us back then? Probably. Moats trying to stay politically correct and won't say what he's prolly thinking, but I think the problem was that Ben was too comfortable doing things his way and felt his work ethic was enough. Once we drafted Mason Rudolph, a much younger guy with a stronger arm and had the same physical stature, Ben felt threatened. So the following year Ben comes out and throws for an addition 1000 yards. Where was this all that time? We don't need another Brett Favre saga. We all LOVE Ben and the emotions he's likely going through is a natural part of the maturation process. We all go through phases and we "want" to still compete, but we need to step away and consider different angles. Ben was very fortunate to come to a team whose quarterback was inconsistent and who happened to get injured which made it an east transition especially winning out. However, he needs to consider what's best for the TEAM. You've got 4-guys who are already set to battle it out and we don't need the drama. If he comes back, there will be a media storm turning their focus to Ben and that would be selfish. Ben has had "18" SEASONS in which his nearly 9-yards gained per pass attempt dwindled to near 6-yards. Ben is like that drunk uncle…we love you Unc, but you gotta go home now. We love you Ben! Stayed retired please. Keep Pittsburgh a drama free zone. I know inside you my be feeling like if we go to the Super Bowl it was you. Let's wait it out and see.
Big Ben is hall of fame. Well compensated for his work. Not easy when business is concerned. But it was time to move on. I watched Bradshaw go through the same thing. Cordell Stuart .
Big Ben didn't put in the physical and mental work necessary to have longevity into his later years. Didnt like to work the offseason. Which is cool. Still the greatest Steelers QB. But u arent going to be Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. But U are first ballot HOF. No doubt. Big Ben.
Ben is his biggest fan
Deke has 7 derangement syndrome
I have stood up for QB and if Ben wants to come trust me he would if he really wanted it bad enough…Neil odonnel was the QB when i became a fan
They wouldnt let him come back. Its not just over money. He is too big a shadow. It would disrupt the team. Ben cant move. Why have Canada there if you are going back to a statue at QB? That would mean totally disrupting the rookie WRs. Taking snaps away from Pickett. Plus it would mean totally shelving the current playbook. Not to mention interference with Canada calling plays. If Ben came back Im willing to bet Canada quits. They drafted 2 QBs. Its not happening no matter what happens.
Ben's so dramatic. It's your time to go just like any other player.
I loved ben I'm his prime they should of shopped a QB the year his elbow blowed out. They have the best doctors who we all know told them it would not be the same. Ben's throwing motion was totally different when he returned. His deep ball accuracy was off.
I know moats just said its never glamorous when you go out. man. bens last home game. w the lap around the field. and family out there w/ him. walking off w/ his kids. I can only imagine how many players wish they could go out like that…… truly a great moment in time.
Come on bro. It's definitely over they gotta ove ahead
I think Ben does have an argument. But Colbert was more interested in dumping Ben's salary than Ben as a person. It's strictly business.
Ben needs to got on with his life’s work. The Steelers treated Ben very well, they gave Ben his last contact when they should’ve moved on from him.
…Big Ben can’t run no more he to old…
Father time is "The beginning of time and 0" Undefeated PERIOD!✨🖤💛🏈4 EVER😎👍🏽✌🏽
Given how last season went it's safe to assume the GM knows more than the owner. Colbert was structuring the team for a QB that didn't wear cement shoes. Rooney pulled a Jerry Jones and handcuffed the team
i mean if they dint throw it so quick he would had been
On a side note that Pens Jersey is dope af
So basically Rooney ruined 2 years of play because he wanted to hold onto a broken old man.
The current Rooney in charge does not have the football judgement that former Rodney's had imo..
If you've lived long enough, you've seen how Terry, Franco, Hines and Troy were dealt with. It's just business.
Deke need to chill bro. Ben is done. Let it go
October 17th 2022:
“The 0-6 Steelers have signed free agent quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.”
Ben should've been gone. I also think the passing game fell apart after AB left.
