If the big 12 was smart they’d drop UCF, cincy , & WV
Take UA, ASU, Utah, CU, CSU, and Boise

Basically be the super conference that oversees team west of the Mississippi

But what do I know 🤷🏽‍♂️

Tv money is completely irrelevant to staying relevant. The best way to stay relevant is to add as many teams as possible.

The fact there is no “blue bloods” in the big 12 is what makes the conference more interesting. College football needs more parody.

Washington will go to the Big Ten while Oregon will go to the SEC. Big Ten will expand to Notre Dame, Stanford, Cal, Washington. If they go to 24 they will also add North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, and Oregon. So Oregon might be able to join Big Ten but it all depends on the ACC and its media rights deal. Oregon does not impress Big Ten presidents. They are institutionally not Big Ten material. Washington absolutely is. People are overlooking Cal. For the Big Ten to lockdown on the Bay Area and California market, Stanford is insufficient. Stanford has very small alumni and fan base, even on the west coast. People are simply looking at realignment from the perspective of football performance. They think “oh Stanford was playing for BCS bowls and titles not long ago while Cal wasn’t”. That’s not how realignment works. Realignment does not happen because of transient success. Realignment is about markets, what those markets bring in grander, long term scheme, and institutional fit. Cal has a much bigger fan base along the west coast than Stanford. Cal is also an excellent fit for the public school and academic heavy Big Ten. Cal is everything Oregon is not. Research funding, academics, student body and alumni size, market size, endowment, regional lockdown, Big Ten alumni distribution. The Big Ten presidents will prioritize going after the best academic schools in big markets with athletic traditions. They have no interest in flashy uniforms and sugar daddy Phil Knight. They look at Oregon, they see it’s athletic budget is larger than its research budget and they want to throw up.

Looks like the fuse has been lit on the PAC-12. Just a matter of time until it explodes and the pieces scatter across four different conferences

Tell me this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm not an Arizona fan but who says Arizona bball ain't nothing to write about. Also football competitively is at a higher standard than the ACC and PAC. Would Oregan and Washington rather be relegated to a lower payout and conference or the 3rd best conference legitly with double the payout they would get with unequal revenue. They need to get over themselves before they ruin their schools.

I really hope the Big XII is not trying to split up Arizona and Arizona State. These are two great schools. The Big XII needs to think beyond the money. These schools would fit so well into the Big XII.

What about Arizona State? If the Big 12 should get Stanford? Could that possibly attract Notre Dame?

The logic of adding teams will loose money for the Big-12 is very short sighted! They need to play the long game and get good schools while they can! The reality is that the Big-12 will likely get raided again! This is survival mode and you don't want to regress into mediocrity when you are competing for a good spot in a better (richer) conference! Take note Pac-10 teams!

You didn’t just make this up! Oregon and Washington to the SEC has been a rumor for a wile now! Making the SEC a coast to coast conference and compete with the big ten after dark games the sec will do the same thing!

I doubt any team can get out of the ACC contract till 2036 they would have to pay like 400 million just to leave the conference

I doubt seriously if the SEC is interested in Oregon and/Washington. Nobody wants to travel to the Pacific time zone.

I think Big Ten will try to get a school from state of Texas and Florida, I was actually surprised to learn Miami has one a position of one of the bigger research universities in US, something Big Ten wants, it would give better access to rich Florida recruiting, I think Big Ten will look at Texas schools, I would say watch Texas A&M, they left Big 12 for SEC to get out of University of Texas shadow, question is, would Texas A&M jump ship again and would Big Ten accept them, as it could start all out poaching wars between the 2 conferences,
