I think Jones will be very good this year. He doesn’t need a fire under his ass, he not lazy or bad work ethic… I do agree that it will be tough for him to do enough to be here next year and it’s more because of the contract situation and with a “Strong” QB class coming out… with that, be careful with these QBs coming out… last year was a “Strong” class and other than Mac, they were all either terrible or didn’t play.

I’ll tell you this much I think we’re 5 legit good starters from being a playoff team.
QB1 (I don’t think Jones is the guy to lead a team to the super bowl)
CB1 (adoree is a top tier CB2 but he hasn’t shown me lockdown yet)
ILB1 (I like what martinez brings, McFadden and beavers have some potential but if we’re being real they aren’t changing games like a Darius Leonard)
IOL (whether it’s a LG or C doesn’t really matter, but I’m not confident with the LG’s on the roster rn, maybe ezeudu becomes a starter next year, and feliciano is a one year guy I think)
WR1 (I think toney can become that guy, but he’s a slot, a true outside big fast WR could really help whoever the qb is over the future.
I think these can all be addressed in the next 2 years. And we could be looking at a 3 years rebuild, another perfect rebuild under schoens belt.

Hard to play as giants on madden.

Madden ratings people sucks donkey dick! I play only with my NY Football Giants, only online, no other modes and I still have have more wins than losses but the game feels rigged, I have guys wide open then they turn from the route when the ball is en route costing me big gains and td's. I have SB running with a good lead on stretch runs and he gets tackled from behind by an average LB, who's like 2-3 yards behind SB and somehow it feels like I'm getting pulled back into the tackle like a magnet 🧲 😡. I have to rush 7 just to get any pressure and plenty of times no sacks. I'm excited for the future, OLINE should be massively improved with the additions, pass rush should be way improved!! DJ really needs to study the QB position. Coming from Duke probably didn’t prepare him to be a franchise QB fully. He needs to watch top franchise QBs and study. He should stop going off on his own so much and start conforming to the position like sliding which great QBs have done for many years. It’s not that hard just understand your not that prepared, get up to speed and learn how to be a top franchise QB. His work out at high schools does nothing there’s no defense. Work out on your own implement it and grow. Stop being small time. Learn some secrets of training. The clocks been ticking. Opportunities like this are rare.

The thing is People act like just because you get rid of jibes an draft someone doesn’t mean the draft pick will be good tons of top drafted qbs do nothing so if jones is good don’t give up on him

The other thing I don’t understand is how do teams pay a top qb an still field a good team nowadays it doesn’t seem possible with what these qb get paid. I know rookie contracts but what about a veteran qb how do teams afford to pay them ??

No QB is worth 46 mil. Why don't teams learn. He hasn't won anything, and now he has no chance. He's going to lose any team he's got around him, piece by piece.

Come to think of it, the Giants potential in a good position in this regard. If DJ balls out, and earns a contract, he's not going to break the bank (hopefully). If DJ struggles we move on. I'm rooting for the former.
