If the Falcons were to trade for him they shouldn't give up more than what the Panthers did for Baker Mayfield. There would be no point in trading for a QB with a little more upside at best over the QB's they already have.
Smitty let's see what Jimmy g can do first I mean ridder still has a ways to go I'm not saying he isn't capable and im not saying Mariota isn't capable but Mariota isn't the vet QB that Jimmy g is as And if we do get Jimmy g ridder can learn from a vet QB that has experience that has been around the league I mean Jimmy g is the better QB Mariota isn't quite there yet he will be but he's not there yet yeah can scramble & ridder can 2 but the falcons are probably thinking he may half to sit for a few years to learn so I say bring in Jimmy g and give him a chance

I'm against it like I was against the Deshawn Watson potential trade. It's not the money, it's how much the Falcons would have to give up in a trade to get him. Similar to trading for Durant, you don't want to gut your future by trading away draft picks and possibly good players for an injury prone and older QB who's just pretty good, not great.

Ummmm I don’t want to see us pursue Jimmy G.I hear he had some locker room issues and he’s also a younger version of Matt Ryan. No offense to Matt but we been putting our chips in on the hybrid QB’s with an arm and legs. So my opinion I think we’re on the right track to evaluate what we have for now.👍

Not shocked at this. This front office/coaching staff has proven that they leave no stone unturned and Terry Fontenot promised he would churn the roster, making it better whenever and wherever he could. The man isn’t resting on his laurels that’s for sure. (Ok I get it)
But with that being said…if they wanted JG, they would’ve gotten him months ago. Besides, this move would be utter BS especially not seeing what Mariota could accomplish this season while having a rookie QB in the back pocket.
Another thing…it’s been Car or Sea for QBs this whole time. Car gets Mayfield. Now all of the sudden…miraculously the Falcons want JG? 😒 Not one QB rumor mentioned for months.

Mariota is on a 1 year prove it deal and he hasn't done anything significant in his career honestly, meanwhile Jimmy G has made deep playoff runs and almost won a super bowl so I don't think it's a bad move as long as they arent demading something crazy for him. Matt Ryan played in this system so I'm sure Jimmy G could as well
