It's kind of ironic you have us losing to our three biggest rivals. We would have a shit fit if that happens, even though 9-3 Is a good median. Losing to our 3 biggest rivals would not sit very well with the fans.

Re the Dillon Gabriel comparison to Caleb Williams, I think that Williams probably has a higher ceiling, but he's not near his ceiling yet. Look at Williams in the late season game, and you see a QB who hasn't learned to read defenses yet. Some day, he's probably be able to do that. Gabriel can do that right now.

I think Nebraska and Baylor will get us, with a scare against OSU and a smack down of Texas. I see Texas collapsing this season as they move towards another firing.
Outside of Caleb Williams and Mario Williams the other guys who transferred did not transfer because Riley left. They transferred because of Riley period and had Riley stayed more players would have transferred. Marvin Mims said he would have transferred had Lincoln Riley stayed.
At Running back look for Marcus Major to breakout. He was ineligible most of last season but he is the between the tackles type runner.

Pretty good commentary. I think you might be overlooking the importance of BV bringing back Jerry Schmit (Schmity). Schmity is arguably the best strength & conditioning coach in all of CFB. Plus, retaining Bill Bedenbaugh, arguably the best O-line coach in the country and adding Todd Bates from Clemson, arguably the best D-line coach in the country. I think Oklahoma is going to surprise the rest of the country at just how much improved in the trenches they will be. Heck, conditioning, stamina and toughness at all positions will be considerably improved and these kids will start looking more like SEC teams getting of the bus. 9-3 wouldn't be a bad year considering all the turnover, but I personally am expecting only 1 or 2 losses and another Big12 title. I enjoy the videos and can't wait to be conference foes in the near future, hopefully SOONER, rather than later. Pun intended.

Give me a top OL and a 3* QB will look AA, you'll have a run game to compliment that QB, you'll have time for all those 5* WRs to run some routes… Neglect the OL? You'll have a 5* QB that doesn't have time for all those deep routes you like to call and he'll get rattled with all the hits he takes, and he'll lose his job after a bunch of bad decisions… That's just on the O side of the ball…

Oklahoma will not lose to Oklahoma State. They have not lost back-to-back Bedlam games since 2001-2002. Back-to-back losses to OK State have only happened 5 times in the 116 years of this rivalry. The team will remember how it ended last year, and I am predicting an epic blowout behind the woodshed beatdown of the red-headed stepchild variety this year.
Venables doesn't sound like a loser . He did well at Clemson. I think he'll get the job done. We can hear the difference between winners and losers.

Lost 15 players……… Saban couldn't do miracles with that…ou was bare bones in depth, the athleticism just isn't there… most fans want ou to be good, if Texas or Baylor had dropped 15 starters and next year's recruits. Couldn't you imagine the uproar ou fans would cause?.. truth is. They lost way way too much, your right that talent he had at Clemson was night and day compared to what he is walking into…. comparing them to Baylor and Oklahoma state's defensive lines , there is no comparison,….. no playmakers, ou fans expect their guys tooi come in and contribute, and expect other teams to not contribute……it don't work that easy guys, John Blake was a good coordinator too, so was Gary Gibbs, we just don't know….just as we don't know if ewerers will be any good…… only teams that can lose a qb is kstate and tech, Iseen every game ou played, they are thin, dangerously thin, the young guys that will play, should be developing, so kudos for next year…….ou is a season away from being who they want to be, it took Bob a season with more talent….

There is absolutely no reason to find losses for Oklahoma. Outside Texas they have far better talent. Yet, we beat Texas any way. Do not allow TBOW’s performance last year fool you. Oklahoma has talent plus a great coaching staff providing far better development for this talent. From my understanding there is a 100% buy in to this harder coaching. No TBOW had to leave Oklahoma because his agent was in negotiations with USC before the season started, therefore, his play calling was directed toward getting that 11 million dollars, two California houses, and access to his private jet 🛩. What Oklahoma did last year was purely on the football players. Still when 11 – 2 BOOMER SOONER BABY
