I cant wvwn guess at what the numbers look like. In 2019 the boys spread the ball around so much that no one really stood out or far ahead the others. Minus 87. But with 87, 17, 25 and the additions of Juju, MVS, Moore, RoJo, Pacheco… This year might mirror the 19 season. Rejuvenated D, and so many new options on O that everyone eats. That being said, I really want 87 to close the gap with 88 as much as he can…. Amoung everyone in the WR room, MVS will have the yard total highest. JuJu and Hardman will top in catches and TDs. Watson might be a sneaky surprise. Moore will have a presence but his impact is meant for the future.

I think he's right. Mecole has had opportunities to step up but so far, he hasn't quite shined. Most of his "rec" yards last year were from shallow slants and screens. I'm cheering for him but I just don't see it. Hope he proves me wrong.

Mercole isn’t anything. Can’t run routes doest work out. Pat raising his arms in frustration most of the time when he throws to him.
Veach screwed the pouch again. Giving up a first round for a player who will play two years? Seriously not a Veach fan

Someone will emerge as another 1,000 yd WR next season. Throw a dart in later rounds of fantasy. It could even be someone lower on the depth chart. Who knows? It's a wide open WR competition like it's never been before. I wouldn't be shocked if someone lower on the depth chart emerged as well. Powell, Watson, Ross, Fountain…? Who knows? I personally love the sense of uncertainty! It will be fun to watch what happens!

Sorry, Mecole Hardman will have about 4oo yards, if Mahomes and Chiefs believed in him, they wouldn't have brought in a half dozen or so new wide receiver talent. How many times did Patrick look directly at a wide-open Mecole and clutch the ball instead of releasing?

Theres way too many homers on this channel. Im all about being positive towards players but sometimes you gotta be honest about certain players like hardman. He hasnt proven to be consistent in first three seasons and likely wont make a huge jump in year four. Hes good and all but he isnt "the guy" people want him to be. Thr same is true about Edwards Elaire, he aint the guy and its oretty obvious.

The Chiefs are on track with OB, 19Mil a year is about right, I don't see any reason to pay him more than that. 4 years @ 19Mil = 76Mil, that's enough security for 4 lifetimes.

Mr green screen is where he belongs, lost in TikTok land. TikTok is wrong and Mr green is wrong. Mecole will have his best year yet with 900 yds +, if he is targeted enough. He has made some big plays for KC and deserves much more credit than he has ever gotten. I agree with RedBeard, Mecole will rock and roll in 22-23.

I think Mecole being in such close proximity to Tyreek has led to people undervaluing him. He isn’t as good as Tyreek, at least so far. But few WR in the NFL are. So that’s a very high bar. At the same time, he’s better than people like green screen man say he is.

I think it’s important to remember he was drafted during an uncertain time regarding Tyreek’s future with the NFL. Maybe or maybe not to have been a potential short or long term replacement. Either way, they have similar player profiles.

Because of that, it was difficult for Mecole to fill the niche that Tyreek had command of. And even still, like you said, Mecole was the #3 receiver for KC last year. Behind one of the best WR and TE to ever play. So I’m not banging the Hardman drum yet. But I do think he is better than people seem to think.

As far as a breakout season, I think Patrick is going to be spreading the ball out so much that we may not even have a traditional WR1. So it could be hard for him to hit metrics like 1,000 yards. But I do think he will be utilized more this season, and that will lead to more opportunity to showcase his skills.

I feel like Hardman is good for 700-800 yards but this appears to be reasonably deep WR group, maybe not great WR’s, but still good across the board. I think they will spread the ball more this year. MVS is good for 700-800 also. I think Kelce drops to just below a 1000 this year.

Mecole had a great season last year. He shared the field with so many powerhouse receivers, but the part that he played was great. He shouldn't be discredited. He might have better stats on a different team with less talent, but I'm glad he's here.

Mecole will get 800-1000 yards. With the WR's that KC that could very well be tops. If Travis gets his 1000 yards again, then those WR's all could easily get 800-1000 yds each. That would be about 4500 to 5000 yards for Mahomes. Assuming that the Chiefs can get 80-100 yards rushing per game that would be enough….. really more about defense this year.

The Hardman hatters are the same ones that are screaming "Run the damn Ball!". So how can anyone have a breakout season. There are only so many plays in a game. If you increase the number of times you run the ball then, everyone's numbers will be down. I expect Andy to spread the ball around more than ever and will rely on Pat to get the ball into the hands of the player who is the most open.

I don't know if Hardman will ever be a true WR #1, but the coaches/management have taken a step of faith in him by going through with the Hill trade. Of course they have also prepared for the eventuality with plan B if plan A doesn't work out. I think realistically he probably isn't going to attract double coverage all the time and will be more akin to a WR #2. That said, he could still clear a thousand yards and a handful of TDs and I see him making a healthy contribution to the team.

Want ALL the receivers to average 700-800 yards each, don't want a single WR to have 1000+. Yeah I'm crazy but having that many receivers with average 700-800 tards a piece….having that many weapons you can attach from ALL angles….that is a threat, shut down one guy like they did with TH, then what?

When Mecole dials in, he has these moments where he'll catch something that nobody thought he would be there catching, and he'll look elite, like Sammy/Hill elite. These moments are RARE. He has them, but that's not his game all the time. It's almost like he dials in HARD and comes up big, but he just doesn't dial in much. If he does, he's the guy. If he doesn't, which he hasn't a lot, then he'll always be WR2/3 for someone. I don't think he's going to have a great "breakout year". I think he's going to be used in bubble screens, and jet sweeps to bring the safeties and lb's closer to the line. He'll get yards, but he's not going to have some great year. He'll just be used effectively to get yards. He won't be a 1,000 yard receiver, and he'll walk in the off-season, because he'll never live down where Brett drafted him at, vs his production. It's not his fault, really, but he'll never live up to that stock just like CEH will always be good but never live up to his draft stock.
