Let’s be honest, we went to running last season but he could have had at least 3600 last year. With that said we wouldn’t have made the playoffs but he could have had much higher numbers last year.

They are trying and trying to get viewers and subscribers by talking about Jalen Hurts damn near every episode. Even Derrick Gunn hopping on the wagon trying to become relevant again. All these guys on this channel are a bunch of has beens trying to get relevant again. I’d be surprised if they get 20K subs by the end of next year.

Even if you believe he has a noodle arm, the YAC potential in this team is crazy. We have Brown opening up the field for Smith and vice versa, we have Quez and Pascal, and even Reagor if you turn him into a slot dump off or 5yd route kind of guy. Then we have Sanders and Scott.

Hurts doesn't need to "Tom Brady" his way to 4000 yards, he can easily get there with YAC.

As for the optimism with Hurts. It's pretty simple, we saw two ends of the spectrum last season, we saw the offense in full passing mode and full running mode. We haven't seen Hurts in a more balanced offense. We haven't seen all the scenarios yet. If we reach week 10 and he's the same QB that can't read and find open receivers, runs from the pocket too early and if the team finds itself in a hole, I'm all in for pulling the plug and lettting Minshew or even Strong play, just to see what they can do with these receivers.

Obviously it's not about the quality of coaching but consistency in coaching and system. If you had to work every year in a different place, would that be "easy" to you? Like, drive to a different place, work with a different team, a different boss that wants things done in a specific way. It might not be hard but there's no continuity, especially if you're young. You're not learning something in depth, you're learning multiple things in a superficial level.

Dan you talk about Alabama like it was a QB factor..Besides the 3 QBs that we talk about now (Jones, Tua, and Hurts who did transfer), Name the QBs before them that Saban put in the league that were Good???? Wow everyone can judge Hurts after only 20 starts..Thats it!! He's over 4000 yards and 1000 rush yds so far in that short of a time(Only player ever). Two different OCs since he came into the league. Played 3 1/2 games in rookie year, equalivent of a Pre Season. Passed for over 300 yds in two of those games but the Defense blew leads(Check the tape Cowboys/Cardinals). Last season How many dropped passes from Reagor, Dallas Godgert, JJAW happen(Watkins and Smith were solid)?? How many TDs were taken off the board for PIs and Holding calls(The KC games definltely comes to mind)..Noodle arm??? He threw 3 TDs passes last year that DAMN SURE will say different. The O line was banged up last year also so you had plays were DT are in Hurts lap when he's stepping into throws and the fact he played with a High ankle sprain on his left foot, which is you plant foot for a right handed QB, for the last month and 1/2 of season didn't help with throws also. He's healty this year, has the weapons, and he's gonna make a leap just like Josh Allen made with the Bills after trading for Diggs. Just wanna see Hurts shut all the Doubters and Pure down right Haters up..They said the same things about Allen, now it Hurt's time!!

I just think he'll win games. I never said 4000yds. His weakness is not his arm but his field vision. That should improve with experience. He also kills it in the run game. Bottom line it's about the decisions he makes. He's got skills everywhere.
