Do you think Notre Dame will join the Big Ten and Clemson will join the SEC?

If Notre Dame wanted to be in the Big 10 they would have been a long time ago. Also I don’t have a lot of confidence in Kevin Warren. I’m sure he will screw it up some how. I can see Notre Dame joining the SEC just to poke the Big 10 in the eye. Big 10 is to local for Notre Dame. They want to be a national brand. Will see!

South Carolina does not want Clemson in the SEC. Florida does not want Florida State and / or Miami in the SEC. A&M did not want Texas UT and Oklahoma were too big to turn down.

A&M didn’t want Texas in the SEC and the SEC told A&M to sit down and shut the f*ck up. The SEC won’t let Miami go to the B1G.

The biggest Boss move for the B1G would be to add Miami, Clemson, FSU, Notre Dame then hold a press conference stating “We’re the best conference in America!” SEC would lose it of that happened.

Big ten should get Notre Dame, Oregon, Utah, and Colorado. Then court Kansas, Washington, Duke, and Pitt. It would make the Big ten uber dominant for all Sports. It is possible that they could pull Clemson before the SEC. Clemson would fit both well

The Big 10 should grab FSU and Miami…. that would give them Florida and California markets… they would truly be a National conference…big advantage over the SEC.

If I were a B1G operative one of the scenarios I would pursue would be a mega conference that looks like this: First add ND then Oregon, Washington, Stanford, Arizona, Utah, Colorado then poach Baylor and Texas Tech from the B12 and go after Syracuse, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, Miami and FSU from the ACC. I believe that would make a 32 team conference-four 8-team divisions.

In football you play your 7 divisional games plus one from each of the other divisions-so 10 conference games. Everyone opens the season with an OOC game. You hold a 12 team conference championship playoff-the divisional first and second place teams get automatic bids with 4 wildcard teams-divisional winners get a bye. The conference champion plays the SEC champion for the NC. Teams not making the playoff play a season-ending flex game.

Otherwise, join/work with the SEC to make a single SUPER Conference of 24 to 32schools for each sport…or make this a national reorganization. Have a second tier conference where the top 4 from the lower conference exchange places with the bottom four from the top conference-every year. So the strong basketball programs get to compete for a basketball NC and the baseball schools get to compete for the baseball NC… This would not be all that difficult to do and we would get much more authentic champions.

I didn’t see your last video, but if you were talking about adding Oregon then you need to go look at the numbers

Oregons media rights are only worth $30 million / year. They would lower the average team payout. Stanford is worth $45-$50 million / year

Can someone explain why Oregon is suck a “prize” ? All that hype is Oregon fans trying to will it into exostence

Big ten has significant academic standards and will likely skip Clemson if they were interested. I think Notre Dame, Washington, Oregon, Stanford, North Carolina would be on the list.

The SEC needs to kick Vanderbilt out of there so that they can make room for Texas and Oklahoma next year, because Vanderbilt is just awful, they do not belong in the SEC, they need to drop down to the FCS level🏈🏈🏈

Vanderbilt is just not capable of playing with the big boys of the SEC

Doubt Notre Dame joins B1G, it makes too much sense. But if they add Stanford and I know Cal isn’t the most impressive option but if you expand to 24, you can make a geographic pod system. Notre Dame might be enticed at this point, and if not bring Boston College or Pitt, or one of their rivals. Whoever might get Notre Dame to tag with.

Adding the Bay Area rivalry between Stanford and Cal would probably add value, and then Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and Utah. This is all assuming it increases the individual earnings per school in the conference. Otherwise it’s unlikely to happen.

If 24 is more than they’re looking for, a 20 school, 4 pod conference would could look like:
    1. USC, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Washington
    2. Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois
    3. Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Northwestern
    4. Indiana, Purdue, Penn State, Maryland, Rutgers
In this scenario there are also cross-pod protected rivalries.
