God its a shame the BIG 12 was not able to snag Notre dame back in 2010. I have a friend who was on the UT athletes board that told me they were SUPER close to getting ND when the first Big 12 Conference expansion happened in 2010.

this is all bad for college football. It's always been about the money, but this is just getting straight up greedy. Just an example, like O st might drop down a level to mwc, I no its all talk for now but just the thought of shit like this happing is a travesty. Kevin Warren and Sankey trying to make this all about them. I'm a lifelong college football fan , honestly thus can be kind of fun watching the usual drama go down, but this is getting crazy. I'm looking out for my team I'm a diehard Canes fan. Dont forget baseball , acc is a powerhouse in baseball and is tops in basketball. So how will that be affected don't forget the Hokies

If true, that’s a power move to make ND to join the Big10, this killing the ACC. SEC knows that and grabs 2 from the ACC. All the power teams (save Oregon) are included. And that would kill the sport.

Notre Dame plus some lucky bastard program to the BIG10 and it’s done. It will def be a west coast program. Hell ND might be able to make enough to bring 3 lucky bastard in. Phil knight should be calling ND.

Oregon and Wash should be in panic mode. Their value to Big 12 may in fact not be there from a per school pay out. Why should Big 12 pick them up and add their extreme remoteness to the schedule if there is no significant value add. Let UO and UW mess around with Big 10 and SEC, and let Big 12 pass on them. Let Big 12 take the PAC four corners, and then move on for next round when ACC gets carved up.

Oregon, Washington and Stanford, West Virginia and UConn need to go to the ACC. The ACC would blow the BIG12 out the water in all athletics. I strongly believe Clemson, FSU and Miami would stay in the ACC if those 3 pacific schools go to the ACC.

You forget that the Big Ten had 11 teams for 18 years. 17 teams is a possibility, for several years. At least until a school shows they're worth adding.

It's never a good sign when the Pac 12 is trying to say all our AD's want to stick together and yet the athletic departments at some schools are meeting with the Big 12 and one guy who runs Nike is calling EVERYONE to get Oregon a new home. Yeah, if you've learned anything from the alliance and everything else in these conference realignment moves, NEVER TRUST ANYONE. I remember Bowlsby of the Big 12 said the week after OU and Texas left for the SEC, that he had talked with the Texas AD just the week before. He asked how everything was in the Big 12 and the tv deal and he told him, it's all good.

20 B1G teams, 20 sec teams,. Everyone else gets their own championship. Relegation between. Top 2 replace the bottom two. Sec and B1G pool TV money and auction off the big games. Forced across conference games each year say 2 games. 2 weeks of protected rivalry. The 2 conferences tell ND they don't have a choice theyre joining the B1G or they are out. The amount of schedulable big games would be massive. 8 divisions across the 2 conferences, each division winner makes an 8 team playoff.

Washington for sure is really screwed because they aren't a top 4 choice for the big 10 and so they need a lot of things to happen for them to have a shot of getting in and the big 12 isn't a good fit for them, it is for Col, Utah and the Arizona schools

Clemson, FSU, Miami and NC were really stupid for signing over their rights to 2036. They cost themselves a lot of money by doing that and there was no reason to do it.

They've already made it so that the casual college football fan has no interest, and they're making it even more so. I think 15-20 years down the road, a lot of schools will be regretting their chases for the almighty dollar.

I used to regularly watch games between elite teams, but it's gotten so boring that I don't even watch any more. I watched one game last season, the national championship. For the most part, it's the same few teams in the playoff & I just don't care to watch Clemson and Alabama or Georgia and Alabama play again. The previous few years have been no different. It's the same thing every year with only maybe a dozen teams in all that have even a chance of sniffing the playoffs. This will make it worse.

I’m hoping that if we do join the BIG12 it’s not just us joining, I hope it’s a merger, that way we don’t have to keep the worse BIG12 schools. We can have a conference of Oregon, Washington, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Colorado, Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Iowa State. Then between 0 and 8 more of Cal, West Virginia, TCU, Kansas State, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, UCF.

Big ten would rather have Stanford to join with ND simply for the San Francisco Bay Area media market which is 10 times the TV size and value of the Pacific Northwest schools. Plus the academics.
