Some of y'all get on my nerves by talking reckless. Just going to throw away our 3rd round pick QB who outperformed other top draft picks in his own draft without at least a audition the next year. I'm glad none of you are the GM.

After what Kaepernick did I always thought he was like Tim Tebow. You don’t want a backup player being a bigger story/distraction then the teams success.

Whoever wrote that is an idiot. A 35 year old QB who hasn’t played in 5 full seasons? Give me a break, he was a slightly below average QB when he played. I’m 6 seasons he has 12,00” yards with a completion percentage of 59% with a QB rating of 88. This is the guy who could start over Mills? What a putz to believe that.

What he has on the field.. I would have picked Kap over the BFI the Texans ran on the field in 2021 🤣

His QB rating never was as good as Mills rookie year. Dude is a grifter
    People are blind
Can another team just hired him to show how bad he is?
Florio was slamming Kap when he got benched before the kneeling, now he is backing him up? Florio is exploiting the media
He should really check his old tweets before that take.

Kapernick had multiple opportunities to be a backup QB,and prove he was still good enough to play in league, and possibly get another starting job,but he wanted starter money after being benched for Gabbard. No sympathy whatsoever,he made his bed. Also,no way he is better than Mills,no way he makes those deep accurate throws, timing throws,or even mobility at 35.He couldve been on Ravens as backup, possibly played,Flacco best him in Bowl and really wasnt same after, couldve started a year or two later, but no

Colin & Mills are in the same position. Except. SUPER BOWL APPEARANCE 🏈,,,C'MON. GUYS. y'all trippin. Kap is growing up to see that all corporate America is a form of the share cropping method of business. Including your broadcast. Your owners don't pick the cotton. Adjust the mic, type the teleprompter. They control narrative, and get paid. Thank you for your obedience.

There aren’t 16 quarterbacks better than him in the league

In his career, Kaepernick has an impressive 64.9 Total QBR. Last season,

In fact, in that statistic, Kaepernick is better than Steve Young, Peyton Manning and Tony Romo, to name just a few other quarterbacks. Kaepernick has rushed for 2,300 yards (he has a 6.1-yard average) and 13 touchdowns.

He was, in his last season with the 49ers, voted the Len Eshmont award winner, which goes to the player “best exemplifies the inspirational and courageous play of Len Eshmont, an original member of the 1946 49ers team." The award is the team’s most prestigious voted on by players, and Kaepernick received it in 2016.
Let’s provide some statistics to show Colin’s ability to play football at the highest level:
Despite having to recover from three surgeries during 2016, Colin immediately started once healthy and was never beaten out by any other quarterback on the roster.
2016 progress in QB rating after coming back from injury:
    66.4 – First 2 Games (Post-Injury)
    93.6 – Next 5 Games
    101.1 – Last 4 Games
    2016 Stats (11 Starts) – 16 TDs/4Ints, 2,241 passing yards, 2 rushing TDs, and 468 rushing yards
    2016 Stats (projected for 16 starts) – 23 TDs/5Ints, 3260 passing yards, 3 rushing TDs, and 680 rushing yards
In his Week 12 start at Miami, he led the 49ers to 475 yards of total offense. Colin accounted for 409 of those yards, including 296 passing and 113 rushing, accompanied by 3 TDs. e during Colin’s 11.
Career TD/Int Ratio: Colin has the 6th best ratio in NFL history among QBs with at least 70 TDs, directly ahead of Derek Carr (7th), Drew Brees (8th), and Matt Ryan (9th).
Career Stats – 72 TD/30 INT, 12,271 passing yards, 13 rushing TDs, 2,300 rushing yards.
Playoff Record – (4-2) including 1 Super Bowl appearance and 2 NFC Championship appearances
In summary, it is difficult to think of another young player in NFL history with statistics and character as impressive as Colin’s not being given an opportunity to earn a spot on an NFL roster after what he has accomplished.

I agree it’s a long lay off but Kap by week 6 should be football ready. A healthy Kap is better than what the Panthers and Falcons got. He would not be an upgrade anywhere else at least right now. Not a good fit with the Texans at all
