I wasn't expecting anything from OTA's one way or another, though I will say for a player that is just a second year player he is taking alot of flack for nothing.
You are right his release looked quicker and I noticed a Little more touch on the the shorter throws , but they could be just me. Also I did like how you are seeing more of his personality.
Maybe i will be wrong and just hopeful , I just get the feeling he will end up being a top 10 QB in the league , he has the physical tools, the drive to get better and feels like he has the intelligence to put it together. Alot of QB's have the physical gifts , it's the ability to use there brain on the field that makes the difference.

I know this will sound salty to your brain…but nobody is consumed by(outside 9'er land)or scared of the 49'ers. Just heard another 9'er talking head say "more people are talking about San Fran than any other team"….Yet those like me who watch basically every football show, knows they are delusional. Actually there has been 10 times more talk about Dallas. Why? Because their talking heads claim they will win every SB every year. Jerry Jones and both 49'er QB's, help assure neither team will see the SB for a while.
Last year was your chance guys. You were not good enough, and the team that beat you now has no weaknesses due to an incredible offseason. If you think Trey Lance gets MEGA CLICKS, or is the answer…your better off being sane and tethered to reality, so you do not become even more delusional when they do not make the playoffs! Which is very easily possible this year. Some mid level teams, like Minnesota, got better. Still with the NFC being weaker for now, the 9'ers should make the playoffs….but barely! I look forward to seeing this comment age over the season….let's talk week 12 onward. Better to be clear eyed now. Neither San Fran or Dallas has a SB team. As we shall witness together.

People are making it sound like this is Trey Lance's first set of OTAs with the NIners and so how does he look..yada.yada..yada. People, this is his second year. If he looks like he is just learning the playbook, the Niners are in for a rough first 8 weeks of the season. If he doesn't look like he is running the team at top efficiency by.midseason.. ouch!
Can care less about the release or throwing motion ultimately can he consistently get the ball where it needs to go with anticipation.

Re Lance’s release: you can’t tell anything important from drills. Happy to see his motion look cleaner, we won’t really see if he’s got it subconsciously until he reloads after being forced to adjust in the pocket with real heat coming at him. My guess is this is the least of our concerns. He’ll be sharp, when he takes a sack because his release was slow, he’ll speed up.

Good analysis. Trey doesn’t have to be an elite QB in 2022, he simply has to be a notch above Jimmy G to give the Niners a real shot at winning the Super Bowl. Niners defense is elite provided they stay healthy and the running game will be elite. Trey just needs to do a little more than Jimmy G did 2021

The CBA does NOT allow any serious football during OTA's/mini-camp. A few years ago, another team was caught practicing full tackle football during OTA's. The team was penalized both monetarily and in the number of OTA practices it was allowed.
