I've been a 9er fan since 1977, yea remember when they gave up about the same for O.J.? From what I've seen Lance has good feet, and a strong arm with downfield accuracy. We know Jimmy can’t win us a super bowl. His one true shot was 2019. Let’s be real, we overachieved like a MF last year lol. We got on a hot streak at the right time and creeped into the playoffs by a millimeter, despite having a QB with hot/cold consistency issues. He’s average as average gets. He’s got strong points, he’s got weaknesses. But we’re not quite good enough, because it’s championship or bust. Finishing 2nd or 4th place means jack. Does Trey Lance have what it takes? IDK. But I’m ready to hedge my bets on someone else and see if THEY can, and the next person in line just happens to be Trey Lance. So let’s see what he’s got, and stop basing all our opinions on two isolated games. LOOK at Aaron Rodgers who backed up Brett Favre that has winning record when Aaron won the Super Bowl championship and he did beat Pittsburgh like James Harrison and Ryan Clark. Another successful stats like the way that Patrick Mahomes was backed up Alex Smith with Kansas City.
