Just accept that Jimmy isnt a top 15 QB and get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him if you can. Banking on someone to get hurt isnt always the best strategy especially with their cap situation. I dont see more than 3 or 4 teams he'd even start for.
If I'm the 49ers I am would keep Jimmy garofalo. I think he's proven that when he is healthy that team is a super bowl. Contender say what you will about his place among the NFL quarterbacks. He gets it done for the most part when it matters
