The team will be better but worse because the team as a whole will be better. But the QB position isnt as good as it once was.
It takes a Great team to win with an Good QB… It takes a Elite QB to win with a ok team.

Give Matt Ryan some credit he won 7 games last yr with 3rd and 4th string WRs, a rookie TE, a WR turned RB, and a defense that was ranked 28th in the league, last in run defense, and sucked also in pass defense.

2nd thing. I think people forget how big Marcus Mariota is…The Man is the man Is 6'4 222lbs runs 4.48 40. The man isnt small. He was the number 2 pick in the NFL Draft…The man Won the Heisman in College. He lost his job in Tenn because of injury and Tanninghill was just a better QB fit wise for the Titans. Who was the 8th overall selection himself. So neither of these guys lacked talent or the QB tools needed to be a QB1 in the NFL.

If Tanninghill and Mariota were in this yrs past draft they would have both been selected 1st round this yr also ahead of any QB drafted even this yr. Thats the other part that not only Falcons fans dont get but a lot of people in general seem to overlook.

Then there is that fact that Marcus Mariota has led his team to the playoffs and "won" in the playoffs. He beat the an Alex Smith Led Chiefs team which led to the Chiefs deciding to move on the Mahones the following yr.
