He just needs some muscle and too nut up Stop being a puss
I’m incredibly unimpressed with everything I’ve seen of Leatherwood at tackle, at guard he was BETTER, but definitely not great, just below average imo. Not worth a first round pick
Scary if you want Carr to survive.
All of his reps at tackle were at the start of the season against some of the best competition in the league. Put that on top of him being a project player and you get what you see on tape. So to me, I think we have yet to see what Leatherwood can really do
RAIDERS!!!
Also seems like bad scheming putting him up one on one vs all pros.
Just like Kolton Miller in his first year, Leatherwood was simply thrown into the fire and forced to run with the big dogs right away. That is so hard for anyone. Miller who wasn't all that great in the beginning has become solid and productive. I give Leatherwood respect for simply hanging in there and not folding, even if he was moved to the guard position. Assuming that the worse is now behind him, he has watched plenty of film on himself, studied, and continued to work on himself physically, I really believe he will be alright.
Bruh who tf is gonna ask 2nd round talent RT to block TJ with no help
Does Alex Leatherwood have the reputation as a "coachable" player? Also, is the Raiders' offensive line coach good at developing players? These factors seem crucial to his chances to develop.
The rep with the chiefs at the end, honestly that's almost impossible to block with a man blocking scheme if Parker doesn't engage with the DE, because of the way Chris Jones turned his hand, it prevented Leatherwood and parker from swapping on the stunt, Jones gets there sure, but if ingram isn't able to stunt inside, Carr could have stepped up, or at least had a lane to throw it away. Parker literally is the worst T in the league and we definitely shouldn't have brought him back. Leatherwood failed, Parker failed so much harder.
Tom Cable is ass cheeks with his scheme and technique. Now you got the previous NE staff out here and they turn scrubs into legit starters.
I’m always surprised when GM’s thinking they can ignore the numbers… ignore them at your own peril
Nearly all his numbers were from the left side [Tackle] in the final year Bama and he was asked to play the Right tackle against some great competition. I think Left Guard will be his ideal spot
how did cam heyward leg not break
NERD!!!
Leatherwood will bounce back 🏴☠️RAAAAIDDDERRRRSSS
We resigned last years starter Brandon Parker, drafted Tayler Mumford from Thee Ohio State University and signed UDFA 6ft 9 360 lb Bam Olesani out of Utah who threw Kayvon Tibedeaux around like a rag doll. If Leatherwood takes the RT job this year… then he'll have earned it. This year we'll be running a mixture of zone and gap so that should help him too.
Parker got killed on that chief play too 🤣 😢
Everybody said Kolton Miller was a bust after his first year and now he’s the best guy in the O-line so I’m not gonna just judge him off one rookie season that was full of disfunction at pretty much every level
IF I WERE THE RAIDERS COACHING STAFF, I’d use more of a hard count. I’ve had enough about this 180sethut. Enough is enough. If DC has more hard counts, the sacks will easily go down.
I still think he is going to be a good right tackle. I don’t know why…I just seeit
There's always this comparison to him and Colton Miller but I think that is off base. Colton Miller played the season on an injured knee but grinded it out. Leatherwood was simply an unsound player. His draft position was just stupid. They had to know his flaws when they took him and they knew he needed more time to be developed…such a poor choice to draft him that high.
Let eluminor and good play right guard and right tackle.
