My favorite UDFA highlight reel belongs to Cyrus Holder. He seems like the prototypical X WR that you throw it up to and he finds a way to come down with it.

There are a few things I might have done differently if I were the GM, but it's hard to be upset with how this unfolded. We entered with 6 picks, and wound up with 11 of them. Sure, we only grabbed one WR, but we also added a receiving RB to go with our existing backs who do well catching the ball and our TE…I am hopeful that we will adapt a bit and use our TE spots more like an extra WR, especially with Horsted coming back. Feels like he could really show some people a few things and we've seen flashes in the past. I know it isn't the exact intent of the system, but there is likely a reason we didn't add at least one more WR in the draft (though, we got several as UDFA, and one of them, I believe, is like 6'4? Possibly being given a look as a big body WR target if he can impress at camp).

I'm rambling a bit, but even if we only use the receivers we have and don't get creative, I feel like Newsome could step up after being mostly ignored by Nagy. We added some good talent FA at WR already, so while it may not be the huge names people wanted, they are all guys who were overshadowed and didn't get the same opportunities behind big name guys to begin with. Now they are on what are essentially short term "prove it" deals, and quite often, guys on those types of deals do step up and find a next level in their game, at least for a few seasons. I'm cautiously optimistic as we stand, but wouldn't be upset if we found the money to bring in a more proven vet that's still on the FA market (there are several) now that the draft is over and guys and teams are looking to get things settled before camp starts.

Hell, worst case scenario, we can line up our new DL at WR and give him a go lol

I really think Deiter Eiselen will finally get his shot at Guard this season. He our best G in preseason last year even against the starters. He’s nastier than Tevin Jenkins.

Thank you Swifty for the update. This goes to show you that GM Poles isn't playing around. He means business nothing personal. GM Poles bringing in athleticism to this team. This will be an interesting amazingly training camp during July. There will be a lot of competition throughout the Bears Campaign in the 2022-23 trying to make it on the 53 man roster and did I say next season we will have the most in cap room money next season so this is just the beginning for GM Poles and the best is yet to come. I get it that some Bears fans want big key name players, however this isn't the case for GM Poles. Like other teams fail for success in bringing key players, GM Poles wants to bring his own style of vision from scratch. Offense sells 🎟tickets, Defense wins 🏆 games. Period. This NFL Draft theme was all about offense and defense and in my opinion some organizations starting to know where GM Poles is coming from. Big key players doesn't help you win games, Teamwork makes the DreamWork in winning. That's what GM Poles is bringing in the Windy City. BEAR DOWN SUPERBOWL BOUND!!!!!
