A Poles turned 6 picks into 11
Boring draft but it’ll be worth it later down the road
Doesn’t matter, we’re gonna suck for awhile*…
*until the McCaskys sell. 💀🔥
Poles should not be a GM…pathetic draft…not the players …the way he got nothing for fields ….nothing ….that wr is a special teams returner …i feel so disappointed and upset for Justin
The fact that they didn't draft a WR till Round 3 tills me that they fully believe Mooney can be that "WR1"
You folks forget where our secondary was ranked last year? Like at the bottom? We needed foundation players first before more WRs.
Everyone in the comment section is assuming all of these players are gonna be starters or even backups when the majority probably won't even be on the team
They didn't really grade this
We are going back to Lovie days. Defense and Special Teams First and Offense gets the scraps its the only way McCaskey's have even had a mediocre run of success. I remember the Lovie days and they were way more bad than good memories, bad playoff choke jobs and no staying power or consistency a new OC every other year ughhh. That said, I do like this draft aside from the reach WR in the 3rd.
Honestly, I’m not mad with the take that we should’ve helped out Fields more with the draft, as that’s a legit point. However I think people are being too short-sighted when it comes to the bears competing. We’re not drafting for 2022. No amount of rookie talent around Fields would change the fact that we would have a floundering defense and an offense that has yet to adjust to the scheme change and gel on the field. We’re playing for 2023 and beyond. Gordon, Brisker and the depth pieces drafted as well as the near $100 million in cap space we will have will help immensely in this regard. Great draft in my opinion.
Bears did good. We lost alot of defensive players this year.
I honestly think if justin can take that leap great talent can elevates the players around them if he is able to lead this football team we should be fine it shouldnt matter what talent it around him if we have a competent offensive coordinator better scheme an better play calling we should be fine if are defense is for real an we can hold opponents to 19 points but score at least 23 24 point an how do you do that by running the football an play action passes rpo screen passes we should win some games maybe have a record of 9-7 an make a wiled card spot
I dont believe in kirk cousin he past his ceiling an this is as good as he going get
Plus we have the second easiest schedule in the league
B- tf?
Dude even said "I have no idea what I'm doing right now" that about sums up CBS sports.
If you guys are mad you didn’t get skill players, you addressed in my opinion some of the biggest issues you had last year, all those OLine I would be fuckin pumped because your oline last year was non existent. Also a new RB it’s gonna be let just let fields develop you idiots will be fine
those first 2 picks were first round caliber. Bears secondary was awful. Vildor is not a USFL player let alone NFL. Eddie Jackson is on notice. He hasnt played well in years.
This was a weak draft class. There were better offensive lineman available for the bears. They hired a defensive coach , so that's what he drafted.
All those people critical they didnt add any weapons in round 2. Who should they have taken: Pickens, Pierce…neither one of these guys are sure fire starters or impact players. We know Gordon and Brisker should be day 1 starters.
Offense needed more help. Gadget receiver?
I love the bears going defense with the first picks. Justin should have enough help on offense to show what he can do. IF he does that go heavy offense and sign a stud WR
Pickens and skyy and aren’t as sure things as Gordon or brisker
Go bears
That's the loser mentality! Why reach for a decent receiver when you got a shut down corner that plays across from another nice corner? Most of those receivers will be busts, book it!!
