Let’s keep it simple, we got hosed!
Watching Cine kill Pitts made me feel a lot better about this trade. Plus he's played some nickel and slot. He can move around.
As a Lions fan, grabbing Williams is exciting. I really did hate losing out on Cine. He is a beast. At least the Packers laid an egg.
Bahahaha. It's karma from all that smack you talk about Detroit!
The Vikings won! They get 3 picks between 11 and 75 (or so) instead of 2. I think that tells the whole story in this year's draft (2022's talent available).
Those charts reminded me of the math Toronto Maple Leafs fans use to show how their the best team ever. Clearly Detroit won this. You don’t give up a 12 OA without getting more than what they got.
There is a vast difference between the 12th pick and 2 picks in the 30's. But to give up number 46 is ridiculous.
These kind of moves not only keep you in mediocrity, but start the slide toward the basement. I'm still stunned. You simply can't let another team, especially one in your division, take your high first round pick and then give you a pittance for it. Cine may turn out to be a decent player, but you likely could have gotten a first or second next year from them also.
Being from Detroit, over time, I've seen a lot of righteous explanations given for bad behavior. Welcome. We were waiting for a new stooge.
The Moneyball move is to use more complex charts like PFFs to trade with teams who still like the old school charts. This lets both sidessl feel like they "won."
Detroit in a rout
Lions won this trade. Moving back 20 spot in the 1st round for a 3rd is too low. It must be two 2nd or 2023 1st and a 3rd. Face it Vikings/Kwesi got fleeced by the fking Lions.
How can this be a real debate? The Lions obviously won. Maybe the “loss” for the Vikings isn’t terrible in terms of who they eventually picked. But they def should have gotten more for 12.
Vikings essentially exchange spots with lions 1st and 2nd and net themselves a 3rd rounder only lol. Just the fact that you had to make a video trying to convince you and the Vikings fan base about why this trade make sense says it all about this horrible trade.
Trrribke trade by the Vikings…,, got completely schooled…. Why would you help nfc rivals get players they want and now have to face them twice a year. That lions trade is going to haunt them…
It wasn't the vikings.
Lions won.
I really don't give two *** about what some imaginary and esoteric charts say. All I see is Kwesi gave a division rival the best WR in the draft — one they could have had themselves that would have given us the best WR group in the NFL. Then he turned around and gave our PRIMARY rival the SECOND BEST WR in the draft by trading down with them at the 32 pick they got from the Lions. It doesn't matter what they got for their picks when they rearmed our enemies with elite talent — Talent they would NEVER have gotten without KAM's willing assistance. There are two parts to any trade, what you get and what your partner gets. KAM never considered the ramifications of what he was doing TO the Vikings, and they'll pay for it for many years. You can put lipstick on this pig all you want by referencing all the made-up numbers charts you want, but it was a talent disaster beyond any I've ever seen before up to the Herschel Walker trade.
It's about players and positions – A skill position player is more valuable than almost any safety. If Cine is Ed Reed – great, but that is unlikely.
Well. We moved up 20 spots in the FIRST round. For a third round pick…
It doesn't matter how the players pan out you do not give up 20 spots and not get an extra first-rounder and then on top of that you give away a second-rounder
All that Math analytic BS is just that ….Common sense = Vikes essentially lost a 2nd round pick on this trade
I think the lions were low energy- seems they woke in time to beat out the vikes. Good to make the vikes feel better but no way they won this. Sad
You can throw out all the mumble jumbo. Basicly the Lions gave up a 3rd round pick to move up 20 in first and move back 12 in the second….. Enough said.
Hamilton was right there . If booth was our guy then we could of still landed him where we got him at to . Moving down 20 spots with a division rival & passing on hamilton , mcduffie , williams in the process ? Massive L . We never had to trade to get the players we got dude .
I would rather have hamilton & booth instead of cine & booth . Makes no sense ! You were gonna take a safety . Hamilton has way better ball skills then cine so yeah im pissed off .
Maybe Kwesi should have traded for Hershal Walker! Typical Vikings stupidity! They can screw up a crowd bar! 🙄
The lions robbed Minnesota
