Now, with that out the way, the real question. I can't help thinking that this Pickett situation reminds me so much of the Burrow situation. Both had average playing careers until their final year and they both exploded for a monster season. Both went to play for their home town team. Both are efficient throwing the ball and can move around in the pocket. All we need now is for the Steelers to draft Jordan Addison next year just like the bungles took Burrows old teammate, and we will be all set…right? Of course skip the devastating knee injury. But am i crazy to think this could be a perfect storm brewing? I just think it's crazy that they sat at 20 and got free pick of ANY QB in the draft and they took Pickett. That really says something. We will either find out that they were right, or they suck at evaluating QB talent. Keep in mind that's something they haven't exactly hit on since Tomlin's been there. Either way, I thought it was amazing that at 20 they could choose any QB they wanted and can't remember a draft where that's ever happened. I thought for sure it would be Malik, but im pretty pleased with this pick as well. Especially since Davis was already gone and all the big time WR that we thought we would have a shot at were all gone. I'm not sure there was a better option on the board… especially if Kenny ends up hitting.

I Don't even know what he"s going to do but I know many coaches struggle with coaching 2 good quarter backs. Then you have the media always asking who is going to start, Then you have to manage the locker room…&.. you know how the fans are …LOL LOL. Im going to love training camp this year watching coach T in action.

Been watching the 2nd day and still so far at pick 49 not another QB taken. I think the Steelers no what the rest of league knows. Picket was the only QB worth a first Rd pick..If Malik was all the hype given his way and he is still on the board then it's just hype. I'm excited about Kenny Pickett
My feeling is the starting QB job is up for grabs. I like the Mitch signing and Pickett draft, but Mason is going to get an opportunity to win the job as well. I might be wrong but knowing coach T. The starting QB job will be given to the QB who makes the best decisions
I think once Trubisky starts Steelers fans will love him and Pickett will be a great back up. Running QBs get hurt more often like both of them And it’s great to have a good back up in that case

I love the pick! Reports indicate the Steelers were willing trade up for Pickett. Now it is very clear the Steelers have absolutely no confidence in Mason. The saddest part is the Steelers cannot trade a quaterback nobody else wants.

Ben was the 11th pick I believe and he didn't start .. lots of first rounder QB's don't start .. I myself believe given the opportunity Mitch is gonna ball out .. peace
Ben wasn't supposed to start immediately. Circumstances forced him into the fire early.
Pickett is no different from Mason Rudolph whom the Steelers gave a first round grade. Pickett is no franchise QB. The same two that raved about Rudolph (Colbert/Tomlin) are now telling us Pickett is a Franchise QBs. Had the Steelers not selected Pickett he may have slid to the third round. This QB class is the weakest in 20 years according to scouts. Steelers panicked and reached for a guy who will be nothing more than what we have in Rudolph. Trubinsky is superior to both Rudolph and Pickett . Terrible choice when a run stopper was available at #20 in Wyatt from Georgia.I wish someone would give the analytics on how Pickett is an upgrade over Rudolph when both had identical numbers in college. Also no QB in history with Picketts small hands has ever been a successful QB
