So far, seems like an okay draft. Tyler Smith was projected as a late first round pick in several mock drafts I read, plus there’s no arguing with his size and strength (Linderbaum was undersized and short armed, like Tyler Biadsz). Just hope by moving to LG he won’t need to hold as much like he did as an LT trying to stop DEs from running around him. Sam Williams was the 2nd best pash rusher in the SEC in terms of sack total his last season, but is a risk in terms of off the field trouble. Jalen Tolbert seems to have the right size and athleticism, plus he was productive his last two seasons.
Sam Williams would’ve went in the first round if not for the off the field issues but those were back in 2020 and charges were dropped. He would’ve never made it to 88. And no one thought Tolbert would make it to 88 and we got a steal.
There’s some odd reason Dean went in the 3rd round because he was rated the number 1 linebacker and he no off the field issues or red flags. Why would all these teams pass up on him???
