There wasn't any indication that any team was even remotely interested in Tyler Smith so he would of definately been a 2nd day'r he's a 3rd or 4th rounder easy.

I liked the pick last night….after hering him speak today….LOVE the pick. People MUST hear him speak, he is a dream come true for an old school Cowboys fan. Just need to also teach him about our other great 73 and BEST LEFT TACKLE IN COWBOYS HISTORY….CAUSE THAT IS NOT TYRON SMITH…..IT WAS #RALPH NEELY who just passed in January and should be in our ROH and HOF. Neely was the BEST we ever had on the left side at tackle…go look and see what we had to give up to Houston for him…..All 60's decade team: Ralph Neely …retired after the 1977 Super Bowl….2 rings.

SO WHAT IT IS IT??? GREGORY WAS A PENALTY MACHINE, HE WOULD TAKE PENALTIES WHEN YOU JUST COULD NOT HAVE THEM (SECOND WEEK VS SEATTLE 2018..THE PLAYOFF GAME IN JANURY)…DO NOT GO OFF ABOUT THIS YOUNG KID AND THEN SAY YOU WANT RANDY GREGORY.

OUR O-LINE HAS BEEN OVERRATED EVER SINCE LEARY LEFT….We have NOT been able to run the ball so hopefully this means we are going back running the ball, we need to run the ball more than pass it…put the game on the running back, NOT Dak's arm 24/7.

    Nfl scouting report
Smith's pad level is high and hand carriage low in his pass sets, causing him to wind up and wrap his hands on contact, routinely giving up his chest. He has an upkick out of his stance that forces his hips to open toward wide rush angles, creating a soft edge and easy access to the corner.

Smith's footwork, pad level and use of hands are painfully raw in the run game. He struggles to consistently create and sustain leverage on blocks, which causes him to fall off blocks way too often. Smith has jarring power, strength and the demeanor to generate some epic finishes as a run-blocker despite his inconsistency, but it is sporadic due to how often he is out-leveraged.

Overall, Smith has the physical traits and aggressive nature to become an eventual NFL starter. However, he is as raw as sushi and a penalty machine who needs to reconfigure his technique from the ground up before he can see an NFL field.

    GRADE: 7.4 (High-Level Backup/Potential Starter – 3rd Round)

Shocker. People paid by the Cowboys give their pick a thumbs up. And then all the commenters here are all positive about the pick also. How many of these comments come from some lame comment generator , or bots. They reached , badly, for this OL. Could have had him in the 2nd round probably. Terrible pick.

These guys just don’t want to lose their jobs and are kissing ass. The kid was a reach pick, he will need to be worked on through his career and will be a liability in the meantime. He DID have a bad college career.. barely played that many games and led the league in penalties with 14 and 12 holding… what a joke this podcast was lol

Where was the part of the segment where you did the run down on the success numbers on rounds 2 and later for will McKlay? You guys want to make it seem like they are so good.. and btw, you are counting vander esch as part of those “pro bowl” numbers. Then do a segment about Jermaine Johnson and what he could have offered in a position of need. I’m watching the cowboys create TJ watt 2.0 in this draft.

He was a great pick. We need mean guys. Ones who will come back with extra ferocity every series. What did Prescott have when he first came to Dallas. A dominant oline and a half back who was eating his way to ROTY. When you run like that your passing game improves. We are full of fast shifty go getter receivers. I expect it to look like 130 accumulated rushing yards every game if we continue this nasty lineman effort.

Group think much? What clowns. They want to avoid the defense to get this. You won't have that with this qb. You saw the team improve with building defense and got lucky with a 1 pick and now you ate going all offense that can't score against Philly when it counts anyway. Kiss more jj butt. Depressing u get no real analysis fromm a team associated group. Cheeseballs

I have "EYES" and the biggest problem is our CENTER! Our running game starts with the center! Biadiasz is not getting the job done!! We need to get a center that can move DT's out of there! Our running game has fallen since Fredrick retired. We need a J.C.Tretter to come in now then we can get the running game going again and Zeke can eat again!

Devon Loyd at 24 . Ingram LSU guard 56 Fortner C Kentucky or Tindall LB Georgia at 88 But first 3 picks was made months ago with decesions Dallas made in free agency.

By messing up Randy that forced Dallas to go Edge at 56
By trading Cooper then resigning a injured WR forced you to go WR at 88
By cutting Collins and Williams leaving which he should have but by bringing in nobody that Forced Smith at 24.
When Charles Haley hurt his back in 1994 how many first and second round draft picks we waste trying to draft a edge ? I can think of 5-6 off top of my head. Not saying I hate first 3 picks but they was needs picks not BPA . The Guru Danny Savage.

I think he'll have some growing pains, but will have success…🤷🏽‍♂️✌🏾🤠

The problem with the pick was leaving DE Johnson and DE Karlaftis on the board when a DE is a need. Couldve went Karlaftis at 24 Raimann at 56 and Tolbert at 88. That's just me but I'd rather have Karlaftis or Johnson over William's
