ESPN continues to have jester analysts and terrible takes
Titans never cared about WRs lol as a Titans fan I may be signing my rights over from supporting this team 🤣🤣
This was a huge mistake by John Robinson I have no idea what the Titans are doing I mean you'll get a excellent wide receiver in AJ Brown and then you just trade him?! Why?! Makes no sense! 😩😡
I’d rather have a receiver who is healthy yeah, but I also would rather have a receiver who doesn’t play games on Twitter and act so entitled. I’m ready for the Burks era
I didn’t know Jalen had any.
Am I crazy? When did Jalen Hurts make excuses?
I don't know why people are triggered by Tim Hasselbeck's comments. He's speaking facts. Yes, Jalen Hurts took the Eagles to the playoffs. Guess what? Mitchell Trubisky took the Bears to the playoffs twice, and look how that worked out. I'm not saying that Hurts will fail, but he still has things to improve. With his team acquiring A.J. Brown, saying that Hurts has no excuses is accurate.
No excuses?…Tim Hasselbeck don't need to speak anymore 😐
The best thing ever to happen to the Philadelphia Eagles was jeffery lurie letting howie roseman know 2 years ago if he doesn’t turn the team around after the carson wentz sitution, his job will be on the line. Since that 2020 season howie has done a good job drafting talent: malita, tj edwards, d smitty, and jordan davis. He essentially flipped carson wentz for dsmitty aj brown jordan davis and a 2023 1st rnd draft pick
None of these guys’ opinions matter…
and the colts no longer have an excuse to not win the afc south
Eagles need to go get Jordan love from GB. Jalen Hurts isn’t gonna last, but there’s also a few good veterans out there so they probably won’t do it anyways
It’s the perfect move. You have 2 first rounders next year you give Hurts guaranteed talent and you get to see if he’s the real deal if he is you draft defensively and go for the bowl if not you package him with picks for the best QB
I think this trade is good for both obviously they didn’t want to pay A.J 100m and with the eagles they want people around jalen so I think it’s a win for everybody
AJ is a great reciever, but can he stay healthy. It's a trade worth the watch. I think, long term, Robinson makes the right decision.
Why do people like Tim Hasselbeck a washed-up QB bring up the tired narrative about Jalen Hurts being replaced by Tua? He has played ball at a high level since then. He is a biased Giant fan, of course, he would not give the Eagles nor Jalen Hurts credit.
Either way, half of the fanbase is gonna be shut up after this season.
Someone please explain to me why these guys are talking like Jalen Hurts had a 2-15 season?
Jalen Hurts is better than Dak and it’s not even close
Zero eagles fans support hirts
Zero eagles fans support hurts. Get him out my city
We need more running backs. Look what happened with Blount and Jay both monsters got a ring
Derrick Henry had to be pissed with this trade
I’m glad the Eagles are giving Hurts an actual timeline to show & prove. Good on them
What do they mean no more excuses? He took them to the playoffs in his first year
Can he throw though? Or he still going to run first then pass later
Excuses…? See this is the problem with sports media today. They were supposed to be a re-building dumpster fire last year and ended up being a playoff team. Jalen is a big part of the reason they are ahead of schedule.
Howie is Masterful and trades and the salary cap. The fact that they kept there 2nd and 3rd round pick and that AJ's hit doesn't go into effect until next year is amazing.
Having a veeeery difficult time understand this Jalen Hurts hate. He is a focused, dedicated young man who never made excuses. N.Y. didn't pick up the option on Dan. Jones contract, but he never had , nor would he have deserved, the level of rushed urgency that Hurts has faced since day one. Is there an elephant in the room that we are ignoring ? ………….. Just wonderin.
Much as I usually harp on Howie I will admit he's usually a cap maestro at managing the team financial situation
I pray that everyone is having a blessed day and night so far in the Lord Jesus Christ name amen
Whomever read this I pray that everyone is having abundant health in the Lord Jesus Christ name amen
As long as AJ Brown stays healthy this is a good move
No more excuses about what???!!!Drafted 2nd round!!! He has one full season under his belt WITH a playoff birth!!! They need to be worried about Daniel Jones who was overrated at a 1st round pick. Just saying
P
Good thing they traded for AJ Brown. Devonta Smith was looking like a bust last season. Howie really has no idea how to draft WRs. smh
Non-Titans fans assume they didn't want to pay AJ because of Tannehill's contract, but it's really because of Landry's recent extension and Jeffery Simmon's upcoming extension. AJ is great and hurts to see him go, but hitting on another WR is more probable than replacing someone like Jeffery Simmons
When did Hurts make excuses?
So let me get this straight…. hurts went to the playoffs in his first season as a starter (second season in the NFL)…. but he's gotta prove something?! 😆 🤣
Excuses for what??? Taking a 4 win team to the playoffs in a rebuilding year?
"no excuse" Tim Hasselbeck's 8 year , 8 team career stat TOTALS
177 pass attempts
95 completions
53.7% completion rate
5TD
7INTs
1,012 passing yards
63.6n QB Rating
Had a game with the lowest possible passer rating 0.0,
6-26 57 yards 4 INTs 0 TDs
In his only year with the Giants, his only game action consisted of
two kneeldowns.
Big words from Hasselback.. someone who him HIMSELF was just not a good enough passer…easy to play Monday morning qb..they took a dysfunctional situation with carson ..Alshonomous…nelson..tate..and turned it into hurts ..aj..smitty..goddert ..miles ..the kid made the playoffs and when we gave him a run game he was ranked top ten in qbr..yards per attempt and was arguably the most effective dual threat..with a new head coach..and essentially his rookie season..calm down ..hurts is gonna have a wentz/Josh Allen-esq year 2.. bet on it…
What a completely trash take. Hurts is one of the top young QBs in the league and has a winning record, and did it on a team with a rookie head coach that was expected to go nowhere. Outperformed Carson Wentz who had a stacked team in Indy. These analysts need to quit trying to destroy dudes careers for nothing. Hasselbeck in his best year wasn't even as good as Hurts is right now.
🔥NFC EAST's status has just been Elevated🔥🍻
When you say there is no excuse for Jalen Hurts does that mean the eagles are going to the Superbowl and should win the Superbowl? Jalen has already took the eagles to the playoffs so what do you mean when you say he has no excuse?
He isn't a pocket QB that should be obvious by now so he isn't throwing for 5,000 yards in a season. Just like Brady isn't rushing for a thousand yards in a season. I don't hear sports announcer expecting him to do something that beyond his ability so why must Jalen Hurts do something that beyond his ability? It is what it is with Jalen Hurts either except his style of play or move on.
I feel like sports announcer should be saying there is no excuse for Derick Carr. He has the ability to throw for 4 to 5 thousand yards in a season and has just picked up the #1 receiver in football. There is no excuse for the Raiders this season but how many people believe they will be in the Superbowl? I don't think it's fair to keep saying Jalen Hurts has no excuse because last season he took the eagle too the playoffs so he has already proven himself.
It was no excuse for tannehill last season. They were the #1 seed going into the playoffs and still managed to loose with AJ Brown. He had an offense better than the eagles and a first round bye yet didn't make it to the Superbowl. It was no excuse for buffalo not going to the Superbowl last season but they didn't. It was no excuse for the Packers not going to the Superbowl with a first round bye but they still lost.
Rogers had the best WR in football and didn't win one game in the playoffs. My point: stop treating Hurts like what he has already done isn't good enough. Why keep stressing Hurts out by saying it's a do or die season for him. I don't think that's fair because the league is filled with QB that had no excuse but didn't advance to the Superbowl last season including the chiefs
What excuses ? He took them to the playoffs last year 😂
Titans should be ashamed of them selves for trading him
