This is an important pick for improving the offensive production, and overall. The right side was the weak point last year, particularly for run blocking. So this fills a big gap in the way the offense functions.

I owe Tom Telesco an apology. This was a great pick, and it wasn’t a easy pick to make. Slater was easy; Herbert was inevitable; Murray was unfortunate. This one was good, and great under the circumstances.

Telesco struggles with hitting on players after the 3rd round. We should draft the punter from SDSU with our 5th and be done with that position for a decade.
