As a Pats fan I'm disappointed… but it could have been worse. We do REALLY need a guard and this guy's athletic profile is very impressive at least. Brett Kollman mentioned he's like the 7th most athletic guard since 1987 which is impressive.

Lol you all need to shut up, you don’t know him. He’s an absolute animal. Played football with him from peewee until senior in high school. He played junior year with a cast on and used it as a weapon. He led our defense senior year to be the best in Tennessee across all divisions. Then he just got bigger and stronger. Just watch and see.

What am I missing?? Terrible drafting by Belichick. Cole Strange is a late 2nd thru 4th Round pick. The LA Rams were going to try and get him at #104 if he was available. Waste trading down from #21. Could have gotten CB Kaiir Elam and still get Cole Strange in the 3rd round. At 70 yrs old, the game of football and Tom Brady has passed by Belichick.

Kyle Dugger was an awesome pick and I know it was in the 2nd round but it was basically the first draft pick that year.
I got him at 89 overall in my mock draft. I think this pick sucks.
As a Pats fan, I’m not judging this player until I actually see him play NFL football.
Even if Strange turns into a Joe Thuney type player he's still a guy you likely could of got later on. At least he can play guard/center and experts think he could play tackle in the NFL in a pinch like Joe Thuney so he's versatile. The good thing is at least Jones should be well protected with Wynn, Strange, Andrews, Onwenu, and Brown/Herron plus the o-line has a ton of versatility with Wynn, Strange, Onwenu, and Herron all being able to play multiple positions.

This will go down as one if bills worst. As a pats fan i have no explanation for this stupidity. There were other players who would’ve helped the team more than a 3rd round guard. I just dont know what the hell is going on.

Josh McDaniels turned the 22nd pick into D Adams. Bill turns the 21st into this POS he could have gotten in the 3rd or 4th round . Can't believe he didn't draft Jermaine Johnson with that 21st pick, he's going to be a beast! Kaiir Elam was available at 21 also, Bill may need a mental evaluation.

8 rings. Tons of picks left Strange tested out like a monster(one of the best tests from a Guard in 20 years) like Dugger 5.03 in the 40. Benched 32, 28 vert & 120 broad destroyed the agility drill. Very underrated player. Amazing run blocker and smart never got fooled in college only allowed 1 sack in 3 years did an amazing job at the senior bowl against higher competition. This year was a collective Patriot scout pick and Bill even said it so it's not just him. Strange would have gone way before 54 with all the teams needing OG. But y'all know better than patriot scouts lol we have tons of draft left with tons of talent left at both sides of the ball why not go with an immediate safe, smart pick to protect your quarterback. (54, 85, 94, 121, 127, 158, 183, 200, 210, 245) now we don't have to worry about OL guess what now we get to pick WR, DE, LB, CB's the rest of the draft and get Undrafted OL depth men y'all should be happy it's behind us 😂😂😂

Bill's late first round picks that aren't a WR or a bonafide windmill slam dunk value pick are always in question. The Kyle Dugger experiment worked out as he was worth that contract anyway. Maybe Strange as well since Belichick is concerned about the O-line for the coming years. If he's a guaranteed starter then he's worth the late 1st round money. Sure he could have been had 'cheaper' as a late round pick (since nobody had eyes on him) but in terms of value, if he's exactly what Bill thinks then it is what it is.
