I wanted kayvon Jermaine or Jordan davis but I said they would go drake London and I wasnt all that mad because he is another big body to defend and you also got to guard kyle
I feel like they pick him for they won't have to pay him like them top tier first rounders like ya sauce Gardner…..I kinda think it's a smart move but look out for them trading Grady jarret and goin back shopping in the free agent market

This pick just as bad as the Pitts pick last year. A complete disregard and refusal to acknowledge the real reasons this team consistently is missing the playoffs. Is the Falcons a team that just cares about winning or just selling tickets/tv time?

Letās face it, Arthur Blank made this pick to put butts in the seats. Even if Pitts, London, and Marriota put up 45 pts a game, the defense is gonna give up 46. (Iām aware this is just the first round but first round picks are cornerstone pieces to built a team around and weāve had offensive cornerstones for the past decade that only led to anemic defenses)
London was the safe pick in my opinion. I felt the falcons were going offensive 2 of the first 3 picks I wouldnāt be surprised if they take Ridder or Pickens tomorrow
It's not a bad pick in anyway. But, with a number 8 pick and talent on the board in positions that are not as deep as the receiver position in this draft, I would have liked to see them take a Jordan Davis, Devin Lloyd or Nakobe Dean. These players have natural intangibles that you don't find everyday. But Drake London has great film from what I have seen! I think with a strong drive and the will to win, he could pan out to be the perfect pick in this draft.

Whatās good Antwon I think this was a good pick bc he was one of the top 3 receivers in the draft and I think we got it right bc if Jermaine Johnson was that good why did he fall to the 25th pick to the Jets so did those teams that passed on him know something that we didnāt know.
And if we didnāt drafted London we probably would have missed out on a top receiver bc after we drafted London receivers started coming off the board in which I was glad to see bc that means theyāre going to be some good defensive players still on the board for tomorrow that weāll be able to get so I think everybody just need to calm down and letās see how the rest of the draft plays out and we have to be patient and trust the process.

8th overall for a #2 WR, with a no franchise QB. Looks like the falcons are building around WR's again….we will be lucky to get 4 wins this year. On the bright side we are gonna have a top 10 pick for the third year straight. Who ever made the decision for London need that Crip Mac D.P. ASAP
We really did not need a wide receiver in the 1st round it's the defense we need to work on and finding ways to get to the qb and a pass rusher is one step we needed to move forward with jermaine Johnson should have been our guy

I felt Atlanta could have moved back got another pick and still got value these first two drafts have not made me excited about this GM so it was a C-for me there are stil sleepers at WR in Pickens ,Ross and Robbinson
I think it's a good pick. We need a #1 receiver or at least more offensive threats for deep passing and someone who is big enough to help with down field blocking schemes when we are running the ball. With his height and length he only needs to and more muscle tone and find his NFL speed and you have just found your next Julio Jones replacement. The true question will he be able to produce #1 receiver stats? Time will tell.

Last time i checked the Falcons do HAVE 8 more picks !! Damn it dont stop in the 1st round , 1st round defense picks arent always great picks , think about OUR best defensive players was a 5th round pick , grady jarett ! 2nd days is were teams gets GEMS !!!
Seeing as we may have Ridley back next year, 100million in cap space, KP & Jump man Drake London, and a Qb of the future we are building something special. I like where it is headed anyway. GOTTA FIND DEFENSIVE TALENT LATE. This year is new for everyone, donāt expect or bite off more than us fans can chew, this is a move for the future. WE GOT LONDON ON THE TRACKK ā¦ šøš„
If it was between London or Johnson falcons dodged a huge bullet the last thing they needed was Vic Beasley part 2 and Johnson is going to be a bust he couldnāt make it in the sec and at Georgia and was only successful one year in a lesser conference and team
I think any direction we went in was a good one. While I was on trade back grab an extra pick and draft Jordan Davis train. Thereās absolutely no way I wanted to go into the season with Olamadie Zacceus as our number one WR.
Cross is the guy I would have taken but Arthur smith bread and butter is OL so if he didnāt like cross is it because he doesnāt think cross will be good. The other possibility could be Arthur is just as arrogant as Dan Quinn and thinks he can take someone like mayfield and make him a great OL player.
The way I look at it is we could have gotten the 3rd best pass rusher or third best DB, or third best OT, but instead we got the best wr on the board. There are still plenty of great guys and we have a lot of picks, weāll be just fine. Still some Dogs at edge left

Smitty I totally agree with you on that. I'm kinda iffy about this pick also. When I saw all of the top pass rushers go early. I just knew we were going to pick Jermaine Johnson. I feel like we should have bypass on receiver and went pass rusher.. Because hell, it's still some pretty good receivers left. For instance John Mechie and George Pickens. We can pick up one of them if not both in the 2nd round. John is a speedster and Pickens is a game changer. To me they're both better than London.

I don't 100% hate this pick but in my opinion I would have went maybe Kyle Hamilton and went WR on one of the 2nd round picks. Plenty of WR talent in this draft…
I was just a little surprised by the pick but it also makes sense with Calvin being suspended. Plus I really trust that T. F.and A.S. Have a well rounded plan for what they want to do.
Think about having Drake C.P and Pitts line up. Plus letās say we get James cook today in the second round. And Defense after that. I feel thatās steps towards the right direction
Honestly there was no wrong pick here at #8 but Drake London was the best pick here. Defense is deep in this draft o line and d line. This draft was no deep at wide receiver period

The Falcons have finished last, next to last, or at least the bottom 5 in multiple categories on defense for the last 3years and even a new "regime" refuses to at least begin to build a legitimate defense. I know people will respond with the cap situation argument but letting the best young, athletic, and intelligent linebacker in the league get away from you was foolish if you're serious about building a championship defense. They should have just took the hit on Jones' and got something for him. Betcha they move him next year and only get a 3rd rounder for him, at best…
We need offensive line to protect qb and open up space for a running backs
At this point we need to trade the whole falcon front office. Itās like we go for mediocre players every we drafted couldāve got a better player at that position. Draft grade F because they all were terrible picks.
