Think this deal is indicative of why the Eagles extended Howie's contract. From a draft capital standpoint it was clearly a good decision for the Birds. Going to take several years to find out how good a decision it was (who they'll miss out on getting this year & who they get in compensation in coming years). Quite possible future comps. get shuffled around again before they could be picked.

Its a good trade for next couple of years but doesn't change the fact that Howie not doin a damn thing to make the offense better this year!

Not yet for the offense, but this is a deep draft for receivers.

I still think that they may take an offensive lineman. Their great right guard retired. Thereby, not needing one next year.

I so glad I dont live in philly anymore. Its like wandavision. you guys are trapped in a another world where a playoff qb in only his first starting season is talked about being replaced every damn sports video about the eagles. the philadelphia medis is the worst on the planet. you should all move to dallas because you help them more than you help the eagles. absolutley pathetic. I cant wait for hurts to go to another team and ball out like lb hicks did, rasul douglas did, and sidney jones etc etc etc. a horrible bunch of idiots.

A Great Deal for the Eagles
    Basically Traded a mid Round 1st Rounder this Draft for a 3rd Round Pick in 2022, a 1st Rounder in 2023 and a 2nd Rounder in 2024
Is what this deal comes down to …
    A steal in my opinion

All Draft Picks are about Year 2-3-4 of their Career, very few of the 32 1st Round Selections every year contribute right away,
    Maybe 8-10 Players ?

Offensively – Eagles need a bigger, physical WR, a True Center to be ready for 2023 and a development RT to replace Lake in a couple of Years, a TE2 and a Bigger Stronger RB

Defensively a Eagles need a DT who adds to the Pass Rush, and Edge, LB, a CB and Safety

I believe I Seumalo will be Traded during Draft Weekend and could be used with a 3rd/4th Round Pick to move up 10-15 Spots

The giving Hurts weapons thing is overblown at this point in the offseason. I think we already have an above average group of running backs and will probably add another in the draft. They could easily draft a WR and bring in a veteran pushing JJAW and Reagor out. We have a great TE and I think Stoll would be ok as a number 2 for now if we didn't add a thing. We know we have a great line assuming decent health. I worry more about them play calling for Hurts' success and not being totally imbalanced in either direction. All off season people have been looking for the "aha – they are not sold on Hurts", but come on…who should be sold on him at this point. I for one am glad they struck out on trading for any vet QB's and they positioned themselves well to look at one next year if Hurts does not work out. I just hope he does get a legitimate shot and I think with a couple more moves they should be crossing "enough weapons" off the list of excuses.

Draft BOTH Ohio State WRs in this years draft. Gives Hurts ZERO reason to not succeed. If he doesn't play up to expectations, use next years draft picks to get the Ohio State QB (instant chemistry with both WRs). Gives the Eagles a trio of young/explosive WRs. Plus many of the successful teams already implemented this strategy (Rams…Bucs…Bills…Bengals…last year Cowboys etc). Use the remaining picks on other needs/ defense in 2022 and 2023.

If we can be honest. Hurts has regressed from last year.
I think Doug was making hurts a real qb. Or making him do real qb things. He’s just a runner now
