Vikings swing and miss at corner seems like every year in the draft eventually we have to hit one right it's like chasing a flush on the turn eventually you have to hit your card
Permission to coin the Vikings defensive line this year as the DMZ. Demilitarizing all opposing qbs. D-danielle M- meat Z-zadarius
Tariq Woolen is my favorite corner in the draft. His physical traits are by far the best in this draft. My main question with extreme physical talent is toughness and this dude is not afraid to throw his body at people. Technique can be taught, but toughness can't be. I'd love us to sign Pat P to groom a guy like Tariq for a couple years.
My personal opinion on the quarterback situation is none of our in-house corners are anything near average, every now and then I have a shiny moment but most the time my grandmother could beat them on a deep post. My question for anyone who has an answer is what happened to Jeff Gladney, I believe he was a first round pick. I haven’t been paying as much attention the last couple years to Vikings football, as life has taken me in another direction and just been unable to pay attention. Now I have a bit more free time and I haven’t heard his name mentioned by anyone. So I would appreciate anyone giving me an answer on what happened to this kid.
Is there a legit CB1 in the draft?
Happy Wenesday! IMO go for Peterson for cheap and draft Stingley. SKOL!
Good thing we got a 6th round pick for Mike Hughes. Who needs corners?
Zimmer killed Dantzler’s confidence last year it’s sad but true especially after how bad breeland played it was no reason Dantzler was still on the bench
Like fuller if he’s close to the same.
Is Jeff gladney completey out of picture
Resign Peterson, maybe get verette, then draft Mcduffie
The CB room is already better than last year: Breeland -= addition by subtraction.
Andy you need to burn that los Angeles fakers jersey.🤣🤣
Treeter!! Nuff said.
Sign Peterson and convert him to Safety. C'mon make it happen KAM.
My dream draft would include Gardner, Gordon and Jones in rounds 1, 3 and 5.
Pick up a few veteran CBs in FA for $2-4M 1-yr deals, sign Tretter at C, try Davis at RG, and draft CBs in Rounds 1-3, then BPA in rounds 5-7. Dantzler and Hand are still unknowns. Sign veterans Waynes & Callahan, not Peterson. Cut these – Bradbury, Udoh, Nickerson, Boyd, Dorn, Metellus. None of these guys are worth keeping.
Xavier Rhodes is a darkhorse move. I feel like I wouldn’t be surprised if we sign him if the price is right
Yes our D could be awesome! BUT and it's a big BUT, they MUST stay healthy. Hunter and Z man that is. Load up on corners without Trae Wayne's.
Gardner and Woolen
I want that kid from Cincy. They say he's another Deion
Draft pick needs:
Interior offensive lineman.
Interior defensive lineman.
Cornerbacksssss.
Safetyss.
Tight end.
If Malik Willis is available just pick him up at 12.
Slim pickins…
SKOL
Draft Andrew Booth Jr. and resign Pat P
I like the Stingley, and re-sign Peterson move. If Stingley ain't there, then draft Jordon Davis or Kyle Hamilton, if he's there, and sign a couple of young vets.
Corner back no matter what…..!!!!! Unless Sauce , Stingley , McDuffie and Booth Jr. in that order are gone which is unlikely at pick #12. fingers crossed for THE SAUCE please ! He would learn so much more from Harrison too ! #SKOL #meetattheQB
Gardner or bust good sir
You are mistaken on what happened to Wayne’s in Cincinnati. He was never benched but more couldn’t stay away from the injury bug. He was inactive with an injury designation for the Super Bowl and afc championship game.
Cameron "tiny" Dantzler had me cracking up. Keep up the great work….time to get on the Venmo train 😉
Everyone praising new gm and I’m sitting here like 🤨 his first big move was to extend cousins with no trade clause. Everyone chill with the love for this new GM we literally have no starting corners and our o line is still a mess, maybe even worse than last year lol
Andy. There have been teams around the league that have shown interest in Dantzler. The Vikes also have a ton of depth on the D-line. Should K.A-M. package Dantzler, a D-lineman & a draft pick to move up to get the CB of their choice? BTW, I'd like to see Hand (who has demonstrated savvy, talent & effort) get a shot at slot CB spot.
I will reiterate what I said after Andy's excellent video about drafting BPA versus drafting for need. IMHO, teams that are at the middle or bottom of the league should draft BPA. A team that is really close to being a true contender should look to fill the few holes it has in their lineup via FA & by drafting top level 'plug-and-play' guys to complete the roster (draft for need). IMHO, the Vikings are really close to being a true contender, so – yes – they should go out & get JC Tretter & then draft CB in the first round. The other option is to sign a FA CB & draft Linderbaum or another top iOL…however, IMHO, there isn't enough elite talent among FA CBs to go that route (although Patrick Peterson at 5mill/yr would be a smart addition). So, IMHO, the Vikings would be wise to add Tretter & draft Stingley Jr., Gardner, or one of the other CBs who they feel could be an excellent plug-and-play at CB.
Bring back Pat P, he wants to be with the vikes. Draft stingley so Peterson can mentor him, they have that LSU connection so they’ll click
Would like your opinion on Defensive Tackle, Edge/Linebacker, Guard/Center, and maybe Receiver options for the Vikings going forward.
Want the Vikings to get Stephon Gilmore, I think you could negotiate him to lower his contract and go for 10-11 million a year with maybe 5-6 million in true guarantees. I really think they can use that leverage, even though they sure haven’t shown it thus far.
Sorry for so many comments, but as a Gators fan myself, I honestly think Kaiir Elam is has the third highest ceiling in this draft. Outside of Sauce and a healthy Stingley, Kaiir dominated his pro day and played straight up dominantly for the Gators with the 2nd best coverage grade among power five corners with 150+ snaps. And if you look at what he did versus Alabama this year not allowing a touchdown or more than 15 yards(outside of a fluke penalty) while covering both John Metchie and Jameson Williams is legitimately insane. And the kid has heart and loyalty to the game as well too. So I would really like the Vikings to pick him up.
Take Jordan Davis 1st then corners cook and faleelee
Imagine how scary we would b with Davis
i pray we draft Sauce. idc if they trade up we need CB
Stingley scares tf out of me. no signs of obvious improvement plus hes shown a consistency to miss games
Dantzler our worst corner
kyle fuller was ass last year
We need Sauce!! lol
DONT SLEEP ON MYKAEL WRIGHT
