Nothing changed from this morning, I was already positive about what this draft can bring and that hasn’t changed. JD played his hand, probably a winning hand if KC didn’t leave it up to Hill.

Chiefs accepted both trade offers from Jets & Dolphins. KC front office said to Hill, "You choose where you want to go, & we will take that teams' offer." JD's offer did not include a 1st round pick at all, yet he was giving up more draft capital than Miami has. It's not Joe Douglas' fault that Hill choose Miami. We have seen proof today & from the Jets' beat writers that Joe Douglas has tried to be aggressive to get a proven WR1 veteran, etc. He has tried, each time he came up empty.

Here's something no one is talking about. Joe Douglas was willing to pay Tyreek Hill the same exact $ that Miami ultimately paid him. KC's front office was also willing to pay Hill the same exact $. That seems suspicious. Hill getting offered the same $ from KC that he got from Miami that the Jets would have also given, but KC is eager to trade him because the relationship etc broke down. That is suspicious.

Rich Eisen, a fellow Jets fan said something that I think we all need to absorb. Not just the KC $ stuff, but also how many times in the past have we traded for or aquired a guy like Tyreek Hill, & yet his personality/baggage becomes too much drama for us.
It is possible that maybe we don't quite have the culture etc in place & established yet, where we could insulate Zach from any sort of drama/toxicity that someone like Hill potentially could bring in with them.

Do not forget, Hill has a history of domestic abuse. If Hill godforbid did something along the lines of that that we don't know about that rly pushed KC to get rid of him, that'd be the 3rd time he would have done something like that. Besides the incident with his kid before training camp some years back, there was an incident with his wife in college. If Hill had done something along the lines of that would be really be willing to risk Zach's development on that? Plus at any time Zach over or under throws Hill, or doesn't get Hill the ball enough, drama could start right away & get out of hand just from that. I know these kids in this draft class aren't a can't miss player in the same way, but these are some possibilities/etc to think about how maybe this isn't so bad. If the WR(s) that JD drafts work out & do so well or rly well, then everyone's going to eventually forget about this almost trade.

If I’m tyreek I’d pick jets just off the difference of deep ball ability of Wilson vs tua. For a guy that succeeds mostly in deep balls it just doesn’t make sense to pick tua and dolphins

This was the biggest L we’ve taken in a long time. Hurts the most Because for the first time since Marshall we were on the verge of getting a true no. 1. Not a “he can possibly be a 1” he is a true 1. Obviously not JD’s fault but sucks being the laughing stock of the league because no star takes us serious enough to sign with us.

I’m still so bummed about Tyreek Hill. If we had traded for him today, we would have easily decided on a CB/S and Edge with the 4th & 10th. Now I feel like Edge is out of the question priority now becomes WR1 & CB/S. Dang it Hill, why’d you do us like that?

Dolphins fan checking in. First off the Dolphins are better than the Patriots. We swept them last year with the worst offensive staff & worst oline in football. Losing Flo sucked but McDaniel is a clear upgrade and they’ve added a ton of speed and added game changers like Armstead & Hill without losing a single value piece on defense.

Second Douglas did fail. He only offered the 35th & 38th pick cause it was a “similar offer” to Miami. Why give an equal offer and leave it in the hands of Hill. No disrespect to the people who live in New Jersey or New York but Miami is literally where every athlete wants to live & they have no state tax which will always give them a leg up on the competition. Who is Douglas gonna take at 4 or 10 that is gonna be better than Hill? Short answer is no one. So the fact that Douglas played scared and didn’t go for it when had the pieces to seems like a failure to me.

Again this coming from the winner of the trade. If you had offered the 4th or 10th pick the Chiefs could’ve just said “fuck where Tyreek wants to go we will take the Top 10 pick” and I would’ve been so pissed. But ya didn’t. Thank Joe for me please.

If AH or KT isn't available at 4 go sauce, then go karlaftis/JJ/walker at 10 and use 35/38 and a third/ fourth to move back up into the first at 15 or 16 to get an available top WR.

Hey Ian you mentioned Breece hall was that fast in your video you did with…shoot I can’t remember his name but it was last night. Anyway he ran a 4.39. Just letting you know. Like I said I feel like he’s this year’s Jonathan Taylor. I think the Jets would be smart to get him. Carter is small and I think he would be a great compliment to Breece. Like a Darren paroles role.
