"We won that game…" ah the story of the mediocre Jets. This franchise will continue to be terrible as long as the guys in charge keep living within the delusion that leading a game late is the same as winning in the end. The Jets lost; they're a terrible team for a reason. Apparently, this game was lost by the stupid coaches.
These reporters are a joke, they keep saying the same question 50 different ways. I really liked how Robert Saleh handled it. I feel the Jets have a future with this head coach

Saleh didn’t think it all the way through . If he kicks the field goal , Brady goes 75 yards for 6 , down by a point , Ariens ties the game with an extra point . No way is he going to risk a better seed and lose to the hapless jets on a 2 pnt conv .

We see it all the time, guys play their hearts out and they're done in by horrific coaching. Ask the Seahawks how it feels to call a pass in an obvious run situation in the Superbowl against the Pats. Today we had Berrios playing his ass off, he could have picked up the first down, and Wilson tries to sneak it with 2 yards to go. Whether it was actually a bad communication between the coaches and Wilson, or whether it was Wilson making a moronic decision on his own and now the coaches are covering for him, we'll never know, but the end result is that some idiot blew that game on that play.
I have no issue with going for it on 4th and 2. First down and you win the game but if you don’t make it you give Brady the ball with just over 2 mins left. Did anybody not think they were gonna lose once he took over? We’ve seen it for years. The problem is that it’s week 17 and the coaches have to recognize what’s going on. Zach ran the sneak but Saleh says it was supposed to go to Barrios. Those types of things can not happen this late in the season.

Honestly, one of the best games I’ve been at it years. It was so close and we had it, didn’t mean anything but solid for next year.
Brady just toyed with the the jets. He knew he could beat this team any time he wants. Jets will be busy league for years to come

I am a bucs fan and even I was impressed with the Jets. I would have never thought a rookie QB could have such accuracy, the D and receivers played with a lot of heart.

“We got the play call and I liked it, just because it has two different options,” Wilson said. “Right there, I was thinking to do my job and we had an open ‘A’ gap right there and unfortunately came up short.”
So Zack knew the play call, Saleh seems to be covering for him. Maybe they didn't expect him to take the option he did.

Where was Robert Saleh on that last play? 'WE' did a very poor job as a coaching staff? Where was Saleh on that call? He's the Head Coach, start acting like it. Direct, plan, and control. Everything demands the HC influence and approval. QB option call to sneak at 2 yards, communicating that you don't have the 'sneak' option. An experienced coach gets that message across between two experienced coaches. Saleh and LaFleur. Two rookies miss that with a rookie QB. Jet's fans are paying for inexperience. That call is on Saleh.
Coaches and QB take responsibility. Neither will blame the other. That's leadership folks!
I'm not mad. This was a great learning for the young guys. You have to finish. The game itself didn't matter, in fact, the Jets were better off with the loss. this offseason shoud transport this team to a .500 level. In 2 years, a playoff team.
I suppose we played well, but that 4th & 2 was the dumbest play call I've seen in a long time. And still it remains – I'm sick and tired of taking consolation from being 'better' or 'not losing by a mile' or 'finishing a close second'. We've been doing it for too long for this loss to be anything but a loss. A 4-12 record speaks volumes.
