Josh Allen threw for 4544 yards 37 TDs and 10 ints and did most of it with the same injury Baker has last year. Stop making excuses.

The way this season has gone, I wish he had gotten the surgery weeks ago. He could be starting the healing process already.

I believe that Andrew Berry would be wise to do something other GM's have not done. Stick with the same head coach and young QB year after year at least until he gets old enough where you say he cannot improve. I feel like Baker can improve he is still young and his best football is in front of him. I hope Andrew is patient with Kevin and Baker they both can get better. Kevin is young too. If they stick with the team they have I believe they will eventually get us Browns fans a ring and be Superbowl champions! It's to early to give up now. Let's go Browns!

I smell a rat. Are we SURE that meddling Haslam isn't meddling again? There is NO reason to be playing an injured Mayfield. It's producing a "lost season" for the Cleveland Browns. And there's NO excuse for the Browns doing this.

Wentz was a #1 pick and he’s taking the colts to the playoffs handing the ball off to Jonathan Taylor 85% of the snaps. Big Jen won a SB his 2nd year with PIT handing the ball to the Bus
And finished the game with a 26QBR. No shame in having a good running game and I think Mayfield gets it but he also wont get Josh Allen $45mm yr money. And neither will Lamar Jackson cause his passing stats are worse than Mayfields.

Let's not forget how hard it is to win in Cleveland..not like the refs call a fair game 100 percent of the time and ntm Cleveland has a new coach every 2 years..We need to stick with Stephanski and Mayfield

Here's the problem with Hasselbeck's take. His problems are far deeper than his passing accuracy. Passing into a double team or not being able to go through your progressions is not a "shoulder injury" problem. If you ask someone "why did he throw deep into that double coverage?" and they say "Well he has a shoulder injury." then you have to ask yourself " Is this person just that stupid or are they not seeing things clearly?"

Bakers "my mother didnt raise a wheenie!" is holding him back from making clever decisions. He forces himself into this situation, just like he injured himself with that dumb tackle. He is a tough texan guy, but man: can you please be more clever in the future? The harness and the injury is holding him back, why the hell does he play then? Why did he play against the Lions? Case couldve won this game so too! He is tough as nails, but by that he is also hurting the team.

Poor coaching. If the 4 picks in Green Bay were Chubb runs instead they win something like 31-14.

said this right when the injurie happened. "That's it, end of season. Play Keenum, salvage…"
The worst mistake was the decision to let Baker play. Now he takes all the blame, when someone seriously should have stepped up and make a decision. Now it's too late and it's not Bakers fault.

If this team ever signs Baker it should be straight incentive based. 10 million base, 10 million for 4000 plus yards, 10 million for under 15 ints.

The best thing for A GM and Coach that work well together is to draft their own QB in the 1st round. Look at San Fran and The Bears those gms and coaches won't get fired for at least 4 years. Kenny Pickett comes to mind trade some picks move up a couple spots pick wr in 2nd round

I’m a Browns fan and I’m not happy with how this season has gone, but I believe that the Browns should resign Baker Mayfield. I know he hasn’t had the best year, but every Quarterback has their off year and has to deal with injuries. Baker has shown that he wants to play for this team and the city of Cleveland. To all those Baker haters I want you to realize that Baker Mayfield has done more for this team than any other quarterback we had before him. He got us to the Postseason, a Playoff win, and almost to the AFC championship! Myles Garrett stands by Baker and so do I.

Mayfield was the highest accuracy passer in college history. Not saying that college is the NFL, but the coaching has not expanded his strengths. They have gone away from that. Play calling as a whole is lacking. Adjustments from game to game and who the opponent is are lacking. No RB's on third down-too many obvious actions for the opposing team to easily read is another problem. Too many other things are the problem. Baker is the least of them. I'm sure the harness is limiting the mechanics of throwing the ball, but I take Baker over anyone else on the roster.

Look we're all thinking and saying the same thing. He shouldn't be out there and for them to keep trotting his butt out there just makes me feel like they are allowing him to sink to justify drafting a quarterback.

Baker is average qb, he’s have to prove his best ability for next season taken the Browns to playoff win or super bowl that he’s worth it for the extension new contract or he’s done with it for the Browns to move on for new qb

I stated it months ago. The week after he was injured that he was playing so and that it would impact his ability to be at his best. Few people agreed. Well here we are with two weeks left and now everyone seems ready to throw Baker out to the wolfs. My question is this. If Baker can play well enough to at least get the fans/team its second winning season in a row, first time since it returned in 99, is it good enough to allow Baker to stay as the #1 QB for the Browns next season? It means the last two games have to be won. Not sure Baker is healthy enough to pull it off. If the team can make it happen, give us a winning season, I think he stays on and with another great off-season the team remains setup for a solid run at the playoffs next season. Just not sure what the owners will do. The record they have doesn't seem to be good for the head coach or Baker.

Stephanski is to blame for this season. Browns pay Keenum $6 million and have Mullens at 3rd string. Best backup QBs in league yet start a guy woth a brokem shoulder, wearing a brace, coming off covid, no practice all week, and decide to throw 35 to 40 passes a game with the best running game in league. Its a no brainer who is to blame

my personal opinion is the play calling is garbage! Chubb was running through Green Bay's defense like a knife through butter! why did stefanski stop running in the second half? you'll see what I'm talking about when you look at the run to pass ratio!

I also wanna add. Baker loves Cleveland. Baker wants to be here . U don’t dump off a guy who took u deep into playoffs and was playing great before his injuries and all the team injuries ect…

A healthy baker with an average season of injuries for team is a 10-12 win qb typically.

After everything they have faced this year and we can still win division… way do we get rid of him.

I don’t want Deshaun who wouldn’t wanna be here anyways…..I don’t want some reclamation project like Goff or a drafted second rounder QB.

    Baker is the guy.
