Cincinnati is more proven than Oklahoma currently. Comparing Cincinnati's performance week to week with OU, I would have Cincinnati at 4. Oklahoma had an exciting comeback win sprinkled with the play of the week over Texas, but I'm more Impressed with how Cincinnati controlled ND at ND because Cincy has looked that way all season, players talked the talk on twitter before the game and backed it up. I don't see an issue looking at OU's struggle wins week to week like Nebraska and still having them in the top 5. Every year is different, but Cincinnati hasn't lost a step from last year after playing Georgia to a last second field goal. I also wouldn't complain if you had Oklahoma State ranked above the wolverines.

Texas A&M was a terrible team when they got smacked around by Arkansas, they were terrible when they lost to Mississippi State, they were terrible last week during practice, they were terrible when they woke up for the game Saturday, they were a terrible team when they beat Alabama. And they’re still a terrible team today. Alabama just isn’t very good. Bryce Young is absolutely horrible under pressure and their defense is really, really bad. They made Calzada look like a Heisman finalist! I’m not a Miss St fan but Will Rogers is 10x the QB Calzada is! Don’t be surprised if you see a couple more losses for Alabama soon. They just aren’t a good team.

Oregon and bama lost to unranked teams and when Oregon beat Ohio state, Ohio state had an unproven QB and a defence with no identity. Week one and two losses should have less of an effect on polls that make sense( because teams are so untested and trying to find identity at that time) then teams that lose in week 5 and 6 or later to unranked lack luster competition

As a Texas fan, that loss hurt bad!! I hated we let off the gas in the second half, but I’ll give credit where it’s due, OU came out on top and never quite. That being said, from an analytical standpoint, I still don’t understand them being this high. Texas and K St are the only teams they have beaten with a winning record, yet all fbs opponents they’ve beaten by just 7 or fewer!! I get they’re undefeated, and I’m not trying to argue that fact. Where I get lost is how you consider them to have enough, “quality wins,” to be that high. You say you look at how opponents a team beat early have looked now, but it just doesn’t seem like you do that for them. What is a quality win for a team that OU has beat this year? Tulane is 1-5 and scored their most points of the season in Norman, West Carolina is winless, Nebraska has a losing record and had their second most passing yards of the season, WV has just 2 wins and the other two Big 12 teams they’ve played have scored and won by more than OU did in Norman, and K St lost by more to Ok St and also put up their most points and passing yards of the season against OU. Again, due to being undefeated and now having a ranked win, I admit they should be top 10, but I feel too many neglect how bad most teams they barely beat have been playing!! Also, I think that new QB is much better than Rattler, but again it’s not supposed to be based on talent but on results. Just my personal perspective.

Bama should have drop out of the top 10 because a bad unranked LSU and a Bad unranked Memphis teams beat a bad Mississippi state. A bad unranked Mississippi state beat a bad unranked 3-2 Texas A&M team beat Bama with a back up Texas A&M quarterback. A Rank Texas team got beat by a unranked Arkansas team and Texas dropped out of the top 25. Ohio State got beat by rank Oregon team and Ohio State got dropped out of the top 10. And Oregon got beat by a unranked team in Oregon got dropped really far. It not far that Bama got dropped to 5 after they got beat by a bad Texas A&M with a second string quarterback.

All teams In a division, 16 game season for these semi- pros. Top 16 play bottom 16 playoffs. Long over due. Let's not forget that these colleges are money making BUSINESSES, colleges pay millions to these coaches, they, and the families of these players, teams, should have chance, and deserve a REAL chance at a championship.

I just watched what you said about Michigan State on the Michigan podcast after you just got done saying two days ago Michigan State had a better résumé than Michigan and then Ranking Michigan State 5th and Michigan at 6th you sounded like such a Michigan homer on that podcast it was almost like you were intimidated by Steve and told him exactly what he wanted to hear it was pathetic. I think your credibility has just been destroyed with MSU fans.

My intention quite honestly is to remove any and every semblance of subjectivity from the equation. I hope my method gives fair selection without prejudicing anything. And, as I've stated repeatedly I want BCS protocol to be reinitiated. Appropriately. I think I'm making progress to that end. Last season (post-season) I 'predicted' a title game between Alabama and Ohio State. Preliminary to the title game.
