Shouldn’t Nagy had figured this out when Fields was drafted? Fields was drafted because of his skill set. He should already know how to best use him as a player

It is fascinating how there are so many really less than bright people in positions far beyond their level of intelligence.

The fact that Nagy has built in an excuse for interrupting Fields’ development by saying that Andy Dalton is still the starter just cements in my mind that he isn’t capable of getting what he wants out of the pieces that he has. Hasn’t he shown us that for 4 years now? Fields may perform well but nothing at this point will convince me that it is Nagy’s involvement but rather Fields’ natural gifts bailing the scheme out.

Let me get this straight. Nagy comes from the Andy Reid tree as an offensive coordinator and gets a prime head coaching job even though Andy Reid called the plays . But Eric Birney can't get a head coaching job because Andy Reid calls the offensive plays in K C.

its a impossible situation for fields to be successful because the bears just do not have a offensive line that can protect him, its going to be a very long day for fields

Mitch, Chase, Nick, Andy. The common denominator is Nagy. Don't be surprised if Fields looks like the prior 4.

This whole QB situation reminds me of when Jay Cutler was injured and Josh McCown stepped up and played the best football of his career (109.0 average QB rating). But Marc Trestman adamantly insisted that Cutler would return as the starter when he was healthy. He kept his promise, reinserted Cutler as starter, and the team promptly lost their momentum, losing 2/3 of the final games of the season. The game we won was against the lowly Browns (at that time) and we almost lost that game! I am confused by Matt Nagy's apparent blind loyalty to Andy Dalton.

Nah, if Fields makes mistakes it won't look bad on Nagy. Nagy will be able to say that Fields wasn't technically ready yet as to why Andy Dalton should be the starter. So Nagy already has an excuse if things go poorly.

Dan and Rich changed the way this team is covered in Chicago. They were the only ones calling out the John Fox era as a looming disaster in training camp of 2016. These guys bring accountability to the franchise and I’m thankful for it.

Show me where Nagys offense ranks in the NFL…. please stop thinking Nagy is a offense of genius. He called the plays for KC in one half and he lost them the game. People forget how everyone in KC had 1 complain in that game…. the play calling so its over Nagy needs to be gone.

Be it interception or fumbles, Fields will provide 4 to 5 turnovers. Da Bears O have despised the “red zone” for five years & da Bears D will be forced to score 21+ points to have any chance. Bears struggle to provide more than 1sec of pocket protection so Fields will have to throw on the run…
