I truly think the first four games are planned to not only win but set Tom up to break the passing record in NE. After that it is the march to be well balanced and beat the hell out of everybody both sides of the ball. Oh and maybe more than 55 passing TDs.

The bucs are undefeated at 2-0, with tons of football left to be played, as long as the bucs don't go on a long losing streak they'll be just fine. But as for right now we shouldn't be worried so, let's just wait and see how things play out around November and December when the playoffs get near. Go Bucs!

Only two sacks so far…if they don’t get at least 2-4 sacks against rams, then I’ll be concerned.

I’m a little worried about the front 7 not getting much pressure. Pressure helps that young and now shorthanded secondary. Shaq and JPP gotta start doing their thing.

Pass rush is Struggling because of lack of holding calls against opposing offensive lines and teams know refs arent calling it. They saw in Prime time week 1 that refs arent gonna call most holds against our Dline

James here's a stat line for you. Look at our offense we are scoring lightning-fast our defense is out on the field a lot !!!plus the humidity in Tampa has been crazy!!!! We need long offensive drives so our d can rest! Our offensive attack is too good and fast!

I think our defense is going to show up next week against the Rams because it's going to be a great change of weather and hopefully our offense can score bou take some time off the clock.lol

Very good points about the defense. There has been so much hullabaloo about how great the buccaneer defense is but nobody seems to be paying attention to the fact that we are giving up 25 points a game or whatever. Other teams know they are going to have to score big-time points so they throw a lot against us. It should be the same against the Rams this week. The entire strategy of NFL football has dramatically changed in the last five years and more so it seems every year. It's all about the quarterbacks anymore and the passing games. Yardage per game and scoring per game and touchdowns per game are all up from previous years. It would really help if our defense starts to sharpen up a bit. I think the Rams have a better defense than the Buccaneers right now. Hopefully this game brings out the best in the entire team including the defense. I thought the first interception by Andrews was a very good play but the second one was a tipped Ball by somebody else and he just happened to be there and grab it for the pick-6. But I suppose it was the pressure that caused Ryan to throw the ball up or throw off balance like that. I think a lot of these media pundits don't even watch the entire games, they just watch the highlights. I think the defense really does have to improve if we expect to get to the Superbowl. And by the way, the Packers look like a very legitimate threat again after Monday night. But this Rams team might be the biggest challenge in the NFC.

This game against the Rams would have been a nice selection for Sunday Night Football or Thursday night or something. Still let we'll get a ton of viewership at 4 on Sunday. This is a huge homecoming game for the Rams and the first time Matthew Stafford will really be hitting the spotlight in Tinseltown. They and their fans are going to really be hyped up. Statistically if I were a betting man I'd probably honestly put my money on the Rams in this game. It will take a lot of effort and desire for the Buccaneers to come out on top I think. But obviously Brady and the Buccaneers can do it. And then we have this big Blockbuster primetime game against New England coming up after that. It all shows how super important that last-second win against Dallas was in the opener.

23rd pass defense is worrisome. The D-line is fine . For whatever reason they are struggling with communication . Its perplexing actually because they went through this last year for 8 games . Safeties are out of place etc.. I think they should bring in Richard Sherman . He brings a lot of experience. We have to remember this backfield is still very young but multiple starters are now in year 3 and should have a better grasp than what we are seeing . Good news is its fixable . Go Bucs .

The offense is either scoring to quick or going three and out. Losing TOP the way the Bucs have is terrible for the defense and a large reason why quick strike offenses go hand in hand with porous defenses. There is a reason Brees, Manning, Rodgers and Mahomes have routinely had bad defenses. It isn't all personnel or scheme. Thankfully for you guys you have Tom Brady. Around thanksgiving this team will morph into a more balanced team as they gear up for the playoffs. Ball control will always be the dominating method for consistent winning. You watch that defense will get going heading into the playoffs as your run game produces more and your scoring drives consume more clock.

Terrific Analysis and hypothesis , James. It is also impressive that you don't get opinionated, but rather analysis driven . In terms of why the pass rush is missing the mark, my opinion is success. The success last year has brought some complacency and a invincible mindset. It is easy to notice that guys like JPP, Devin White, SMB etc are talking a lot but not delivering on the field

The reality right now for this defense is that they haven't dominated anybody yet. Obviously they're not up to where they were in last yrs playoffs. But this wknd would be a fantastic time to step up and play their best. They're gonna need it.

This video was abt you calling out the front seven… especially the D line. But you gave them not credit for their run defense. The truth is the secondary is been banged up. So to counter that Bowls need to play more zone, and not blitz so much. That is my opinion. Don't send the house with a banged up secondary, theirs no need too. Secondary needs to play better!!! Period!!

Just keep stopping the RUN! Keep making teams 1 dimensional. Offense can keep up with anybody's passing game. What you don't want is a team taking big chunks of time off the clock. The Patriots will be the litmus test for this.

The missed tackles are what is hurting us, we are letting QB's get free far too often, and it is biting us in the a**.

Not a real problem. Todd knows when to pull the trigger. The fact that our 2 opponents so far just went to passing to win and never tried to really run the ball. Bucs have it going just the way they like it in my opinion. Thanks James for an excellent topic and the research + analysis you put in to this. GO BUCS!!!
