We're starting to look much better as predicted. Still need to work out a lotta issues in practice but glad to turn it around.

Shouldn't have traded up for McGary or McKinley. No more trading up for Scottish dudes.

I agree with w/ Kevin. It's the NFL, can't be talking up moral victories for being close at the start of the 4th. That's college, huge underdog thinking not the NFL. Folks were talking about possibly making the playoffs 2 weeks ago–we can't spin moral victories now.

And I'll give Mayfiled credit, he battled. He didn't get killed. That is shocking to me. Re: McGary, I questioned that pick at the time. I remember watching him in college and thinking he was a stiff. If you can't handle edge rushers in college how is that going to improve in the NFL. TD should be arrested for fraud!

Also, I hate to say it but I think people are being too over the top on the Saints. They had a bunch of players and coaches out today. If there was any team that had an excuse for laying an egg it was them IMO. Not sure we should take too much away from that game.

The Falcon's spent the whole game trying to get back into the game. They NEVER had the lead. This game was a blow out. This shows the Falcon's are not good down the stretch. Stop settling for moral victories

If you take away the offensive turn overs, the score is 25 to 27!

Pitts is definitely not a bust. He's just not being used properly.

Our issue is this new coach, player evaluation is completely off because he doesn't know how to pick WR, this group is horrible to small and slow, this coach thinks Matt Ryan can run his playbook, wrong he can't. It looks like coach Smith wants a Ravens type of team and if that's the case JF was there for the picking. Matt Ryan is going to look like this all year he just not a winner.

Is Grady Jarrett still on this team? Who can we trade Deion Jones for? Why isn't Mychal Walker playing more?

My Falcons are never going to be decent with this Dan Quinn and Dmitroff roster. Arthur Smith needs five years to build his own roster cause Quinn and Dmitroff ruined this team. I’m not shocked at all that Mcgary is terrible. Dmitroff and Quinn drafted him and freakin traded up which they of course didn’t need to do. Pisses me off man

Redefine this offence with Riddley and tight end and please don't fade away in the second half why do the Falcons always do that like a slow erosion offensive line adapt to your player personnel coaching offensive coordinator c'mon now. Don't blitz all the time Camouflage the blitz .basically Falcons don't fade in second half ball control u don't need the homerun every possession take heed this coaching staff have to make adjustments to the Strength's of your team please.im sorry but this is difficult but not possible

Fact is Matt Ryan has to go because we can not give him the top tier O line he needs. We need a improviser QB cause this line is 🗑

This game came to a number of things, but three main ones: pass protection communication, red zone defense, and special teams blunders. The last is obvious with the two bad punts, but lets not forget Parker Hesse's penalty on the good kickoff return. It was 10 yards, but 10 yards is a lot, especially in special teams production.

As far as pass protection, when the line faced a crowded line of scrimmage, post-snap there was clear confusion on which way to slide and who was picking up who whether it came on a stunt or not. That to me should be the primary focus before we worry if a Vita Vea is pushing them backwards physically. If they can't even get their assignments right, the attempt to block already means nothing. The simple solution to me is to do more man protection calls so there is no confusion. If defenses crowd the line, bring in a TE and RB for extra protection and if their assigned man bails into coverage, they release into a route.

I've never understood the argument that more money invested in the offense or defense means they have higher expectations. The market decides how much everyone gets paid and some positions will get paid more than others regardless of how good the players are. So for me it's about capability. Do I think this defense can be outstanding in any particular area? Sure. I think if they shift their focus into a team that's bend-but-don't break, solid in run defense, and tightens up in the redzone, they're capable. Particularly tightening up in the redzone. The field is smaller in that area eliminating a number of possibilities to the defense's advantage. Making that a primary focus can make what happens between the 20s forgivable to a large degree because they're keeping points off the board. This particular game, they screwed up by giving up multiple big plays early on to make the game get out of hand early on hurting the offense's gameplan as well, one thing that was obvious to prepare for going in.
