Lofton was a good WR. I think he also made stops with Buffalo, LA Rams and Philly

Hogeboom was not the QB Danny White was. Danny was a lot more athletic. I don’t remember White getting sacked as much, or the offense getting bogged down.

The entire Dallas fanbase lost faith in Danny White after the 1983 season. When they lost their last two games after going 12-2 and then losing to the Rams in the wildcard game the fans had it with Danny White. That was the worst mistake that Tom Landry did was to put Hogeboom in as starter in 1984. Even though Dallas would win this game and the next, the Cowboys would lose two straight and end up going 9-7 and missing the playoffs. After winning the division in 1985 and losing to the Rams. Danny White's career was pretty much over after sustaining a blind side hit that broke his wrist in 1986 against the Giants. The Cowboys were 6-2 and after that game, the Cowboys would only win one more game before going 7-9. The Cowboys would not have another winning record until 1991 when they went 11-5 and the next year the dynasty started with the 3 Super Bowls in 4 years.

When I' met Lynn dickey in 2006 I was surprise he wasn't in a wheelchair Because his Offensive lines were never very good & he was a Statue in the pocket

Both the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys would have won any of those Super Bowl championships in the 1980's. May Tom Landry and Pat Summerall rest in peace.
