Draft an OL and keep Mitch Trubisky at a one year discounted price take the next best WR in free agency or down the draft. Then go after a QB next year.

Bears might trade him, but not before franchise tagging him.

Dolphins fan here. Our 10-6 record could have easily been 6-10 if not for our scoring defense. The Dolphins have holes; real holes. The O line is far from set and the constant shuffling makes it more uncertain of which player is best at which position. Our starting Corners were good but there are question marks at both Safeties. We can definitely upgrade from McCain at FS. We don't have a real threat pass rusher, our RBs are…small and our WRs are suspect.
I think the Dolphins need at least this draft plus the 2021 season before spending money on "difference maker" free agents. Solidify the core with young talent that all learned it the Flores way. Worry about fortifying the wall in front of Tua and designing an offense that gives their star QB the space, time and attack strategy that allows Tua to utilize all the tools in his toolbox; the skills that made him the #5 overall selection in the 2020 NFL draft.
Tua was dealt a lousy hand in 2020. Sure, Fitzpatrick had more success with the same guys in the same offense. But that offense calls for the QB to squeeze passes into tight spaces that rarely benefits from explosive plays or exciting run after catch opportunities. Against good teams, Fitz usually fell flat as was the case his whole career. What Tua can do is get back in the pocket with fast receivers breaking across the field in all directions, spot the guy breaking into the most open pasture of green grass and put the ball out in front of him to go catch it and race for the end zone. The Dolphins didn't draft Tua to be Fitzpatrick. Do we really think any QB getting the ball out of his hand in 1.5 seconds every play is ever going to lead us to the promised land? That dull style of play gets you to 10-6 in a good year. The idea of drafting Tua is this; we want the ball in Tua's hand as long as it takes for him to deliver the ball to a receiver ready to do something better with it. It's Tua's job to make himself trustworthy that he will maximize opportunities while minimizing negative outcomes. After 18 years in the league, Fitzpatrick's floor is higher than rookie Tua's was but trust me, Tua's ceiling is waaaaay higher than Fitzy even dreams of his being. Tua might be able to equal Fitzpatrick in Gailey's offense but Fitzpatrick could never approach what Tua can do in his ideal offense.
The Dolphins need to focus their money on extending guys doing it right the Flores way and who continue to teach, preach and expect things done "the Dolphins way". There's no reason to believe the Dolphins can't draft five high quality starters in 2021 if Grier plays his cards right. That's five more great contracts, five more guys buying into doing it "the Dolphins way" and five more guys starting from square one and following the same steps as their teammates as they all strive to improve, succeed and earn that lucrative, second contract.
Just say no to Orlando Brown, Allen Robinson, Aaron Jones, etc. Build from within. Draft two new receivers and shore up the O line and Tua and the offense will be just fine.

All these speculations are getting really tiring. They all divert from the fact that none of us have any influence over the wiill of the players or the policy of the teams. But how do we ever fill up the space in between? That is right. We speculate, listen to rumours, voice our pointless opinions, listen to would-be experts like McShay or Kiper. What reason for existence do they all have, I want to know? Probably none, but hearing mumbo-jumbo that has no relation whatsoever to the more important things in life, that is what we crave.
