If we wanna take the next step as a team we have to make a move at the qb position. I would be willing to give up a first round pick for Stafford. Also would put in an offer for Dak if we can't get Stafford

Definitely give up first round pick for Stafford. I would even like it for a first and third, but shouldn’t go any further than that. I wish we would get him so bad. As far as trading, any of our players Detroit would want, I wouldn’t want to give.

Trade the 19th and J. Allen. No more. Settle and Matt I. are good rotations on the dline. Stafford has a good 5-6 yrs left for sure. This team wasted a 15th pick on Haskins so trading 19 for a good qb doesn’t sound crazy at all!

It's gonna take a first. But think about it, when are we ever gonna be able to get a 4k yard passer in the draft…..a 1st rounder. The only way we draft that high is if we suck. You can't have it both ways. We should seize the moment now, there may be one QB in the draft capable of doing what Stafford can do and he's going first to a sorry team. Let's get Stafford. Our Defense is in place, we can fill holes with the cap space we have….HTTWFT

2nd rounder and Landon at most. We should trade for Watson in a deal like this: 2021 1st round pick, 2022 1st round pick, 2023 1st round pick, Landon Collins, and Tim settle for Deshaun Watson, Brandon cooks, and a 4th.

Pedro you have to remember golladay only played a few games so his leading wr had 500 yards. 1/8 of what he threw. Which means he can spread the ball around to anyone regardless of the lack of talent he had.

They either take our deal on the picks or pay him and we will trade after free agency day 6. So save some cap money and take our 2nd and 3rd. Or risk getting less and we take our chances in the draft. We have all the leverage and need to approach Detroit as so

FACTS: We have the D to win the Superbowl R I G H T N O W. We need a drag-and-drop, plug and play QB right now, so outside of getting Watson, Dak or Mariotta, we gotta go after Stafford. Missing out on a proven QB in 2021 is NOT an option!

1 st round, fair pick, he'll have the choice to pick the team he wants. Lions are not in the drivers seat, they'll have to take a fair value pick. The definition of fair is , both sides feel they are giving to much, and the 1st round pick feels like that, to much from WFT view and not enough from the Lions view.

Love the content lil brother! I hope we can get him BUT AT WHAT COST? I remeber when Chicago traded for Jay Cutler…they gave up 2 first and a 3rd👀 its going to be a huge biding war for Matt knowing that Rogers COULD be asking for a trade and with Watson and Matt Ryan also may be on their way out the door….if it happens we need to strike hard and fast.

I think that we should trade 2 2nd’s for Stafford, Our defense needs a Fs and LB maybe another CB and It is The arguably the best defense in the Nfl. On offense we would need 1 or 2 Wr a Backup Te and Maybe another left tackle and This team Is IMO A super bowl contender, The only problem with this is How much they want.

There's gonna be to be competition for sure with teams wanting Stafford. Prescott if he doesn't sign with Dallas is going to cost MUCH more the Stafford's current contract, and would strap the team cap wise. I think when it's said and done it's going to take minimum a first and a third to get Stafford. With the 19th pick they will probably have to give up a second as well either next yr or this yr and maybe get detroit's 4th rd pick back in return. Denver and San Fran, as well as Las Vegas picks are higher, and I'm think all three will show interest, including Dallas, the Colts, Saints, Pats, and possibly the Texans considering they will likely be trying to move Watson. Chicago would be interested but no way Detroit trades to an in-division team. So far there are at least of a third of the teams we know about (according to Adam Shefter) who are at least interested, and I expect more to come since Stafford is a top 10-12 QB. Probably even better than that if he had a decent team around him. With Washington's defense, they could make serious noise in the NFC and be considered a contender for sure.

Reading these comments it appears that some of you have forgotten something. We're not the only team in the NFL going to be bidding for Stafford services number one. Second off we're already at a disadvantage with the 19th pick. That's pretty low in the first round considering other teams with much higher pics in the first rounds have already shown interest. It's already been noted by people in the NFL, Adam schefter for one, that has said at least one third of the teams in the NFL have contacted Detroit personnel concerning Matthew Stafford. The guy is a top 10 quarterback in the league and he's only 33 years old. Quarterbacks play well into their lower forties these days at a high level. Stafford has a good 7 to 8 years maybe even more left in the tank. The defense is already set. There's great pieces on the offensive side of the board. Really all we're away from being a super bowl contender is a really good quarterback. It's going to take more than a first and a third like some of you are stating (never mind some of your ridiculous comments with your saying a third and a fifth and a seventh) to get a quarterback of this caliber for the price he's going to come at which is around 21 million a year. That's a bargain in comparison what it would take to sign somebody like Dak Prescott. Shoot if I'm not mistaken Alex Smith makes more than Stafford does. You think you're going to get a starting quarterback with a 19th pick? Lol. How did Haskins work out? Just saying.

Looks like Niners have the inside track anyway and WFT will need to look elsewhere. Not sure how accurate it is but I read a quote from Steve Young and he has nothing but praise for Stafford calling him generational.
