Dumb question 101. If Finley isn't the #2 option on this team why is he ahead of Allen who was on the practice squad? Is this another bad management joke? A way to try and hide another bad draft pick on an already inferior roster? I am sure Zac Taylor has a sugar coated sarcastic positivity response to this question or just "no comment." Perhaps by keeping Allen on the practice squad instead of Finley it costs the team less money? I doubt that but you never know, this franchise has cheapskate owners too.

Ryan Finley auditioned last season and the team lost every start he had. That was the indication right there, not last Sunday. Allen likely will not fair much better because he alone cannot keep this team let's say competitive. The QB position now, without Joe Burrow, is far from the only position on the team with both inferior starters and backups. The offensive line is entirely inferior. The defensive line is entirely inferior. Both interior lines get pushed all over the line of scrimmage. The rules are now in the NFL if you don't get a pass rush, pressures, line pushes, you are essentially ineffective against the pass. Unless you have Finley on the opposite side under center. You don't draft one lineman or raid another teams practice squads to fix this problem. This team is inferior and next season, same players, same results. Bengals hide inferior players either on their bench or in some cases plain sight on the field. They play the best of the worst instead of obtaining talent that is accountable legitimate NFL players. The best they get is veterans looking for a contract and place to hide out that other teams no longer want or young players who may have some potential. As poorly as this franchise drafts those young guys with upswing potential are few and far in between. They stick themselves with guys like John Ross who could run from a robbery but that is it. The Bengals have a culture problem that accepts inferior play as long as they keep their mouth shut. Ross isn't even smart enough to do that. He wanted a trade but no one wanted him. Cincinnati should not want him now either. He can go ride the pine somewhere else. It's time for unprofessional attitudes, inferior play and players, and bad management to be replaced with a legit NFL franchise of professionals.

It is time for the Brown family to start looking for a new head coach. Taylor has no experience and it shows. Taylor was never a head coach , even for a high school team.
