Awesome! One big reason the Rams did not want to pay Eric Dickerson is that they did not want to pay Henry Ellard, Jim Everett, Dennis Harrah, Jackie Slater, and LeRoy Irvin, either. By keeping a cap on Dickerson's salary, they were preventing all of their other top players from gaining leverage on the organization. As much as I loved Dickerson — he was the second-best BALL-CARRIER (not Running-Back, but Ball-Carrier) I ever saw (Only Barry Sanders was better, in my opinion, although Payton was a better Running-Back than both of them), it is also true that Eric was not above feigning injuries, and giving conspicuously half-hearted efforts when he wasn't happy. When he took himself out in a game against Cleveland because of "sore muscles," well . . . . . . . . he forced the Rams' hand. Thanks for this great game!!!

    Nice. You got Chargers/49ers 1988? Or 49ers/Colts 1989?

I remembered Lampley at ABC, NBC, and of course HBO. But I didn’t remember him at CBS.

Another stoopid loss by these rams, facing a fellow contender in the same conference at home you’re NOT supposed to lose this game PERIOD

Oh my…. This is the game I traveled LA to and watched at Anaheim Stadium to see Eric Dickerson. I'm still his fan, so bought his Ram #29 jersey last year. During the game, a drunk guy at the very front seat on the third layer has fallen to lower second layer. Hoped the person hit by him was really okay… A week before, I was at the Three River Stadium to see Steelers and Joe Montana. I moved to Chicago after the game in Pitts to watch another opening game at Soldier Field, Monday Night played by the latest two Superbowl champs, Giants and Bears. The 8 days span was the most excited days in my entire life 🙂
